ebay payment sent?

so im relatively new to eBay and i recently sold an item for a nice profit the problem is that the payment has been marked as sent and on my eBay page and PayPal account it is marked as payment not received does anybody know why that is because i don't want to receive negative feedback but i also don't want to just send an item for free did he really send the payment or does he just think im gullible? he had all positive feedback if it helps thanks

Hi, sherrybelle is right. You should communicate with your buyer and ask the payment method she used. Buyers will have other options if your listing is not set to receive payments through paypal only.

Did your eBay listing state that you only receive PayPal payments or are you also receiving checks via snail mail?
I've had some experience selling on eBay and I always list that I receive PayPal payments only because I want to receive electronic transactions.
Don't ship until you actually receive the payment. If necessary, you can communicate with your buyer to find out which payment option they chose.

Was it an instant payment? Because if he paid threw his cheqing account, it could take 5 buisness days to clear. You wouldn't see the payment in your account until it was cleared. Never send anything to anyone unless you have the funds in your account. Check your account regularly over the next 5 buisness days for the payment. If nothing then message him, or contact ebay.
