how does your family affect you in your decisions?

Family is the most basic type of society as sociologists define it. In a psychological sense, it plays a vital role in molding our individuality and thus giving a big impact on how we direct our lives. How does your family affect the way your decisions are made?

They are only suggesting things that I should do or choose but they usually don't affect my final decision since I have the right to choose for my own sake.
