I would grab my children and my pets. I have a five year old disabled son and a three year old daughter. I would grab our passports, my hand bag, my travel photos and my costume dolls from around the world. I hope I would be able to grab my laptop and my camera. I could buy more books but I couldn't replace my doll collection which I treasure.

There are many things I want to grab if there is a fire in my house. I will make sure I will bring our ID cards, bank books, hard disk and so on. I need the money so that I have to bring my ID cards and bank books. And my hard disk stores our photos and videos and it is important.

my pets first, my son would grab the computers. I would grab the money if it was in plain sight but I wouldn't risk dying because I am hunting for it.

Ricki, i would grab my child, my handbag and my important documents, if my home was on fire. If there is still a chance, i would even want to grab my laptop and my cellphone. All these are important to me. I have a friend who only remember to grab her wallet and her barbie dolls when her house was on fire, a few years ago. She lost her pet and laptop in the fire.

I would definitely get something valuable first, as much as I can handle them. First my wallet and some cash. Then my laptop and desktop computers. I hope that I can coming back and forth and still have time to get some stuff out of the house without it been burnt down. It was my hypothetical thought, and I don't know what would happen in actual event though.

I totally agree with you. Real life pets are more important than books.
For me I think that I would grab my wallet too, my passport, phone with charger, and I would make sure that everyone of my family is out and safe :)

Last April this year my neighbors 3 door apartment was on fire.
The building is just 10 meters away from my house.
Thinking that the blaze will reach my house, I rush to my room and pick all important documents (good thing it is always ready inside a safety bag)
I also managed to grab my wallet ,laptop and mobile phones.
Then, I look around as if saying goodbye to my house.
I saw the fire peeping through the firewall in between and even caught our guava tree (some branches)...
Thanks, my house was spared and after that incident....I just sit and burst in tears.

It is difficvult to say what she would go after when our house is on fire. Our lives and home are in peril and time is a factor. I would most definitely have to get my family and our cats out of the house. If anything else of financian concern could be obtained I would get that as well along with treasured photographs, Anything else could be replaced.

If there'll be fire at our home (God forbids), I'll pick up my son first, then our money, clothes and cellphones. Our son's safety is the most important above all. I could earn money to replace the house, the clothes, appliances etc., but I can replace my son.

Grab your family and yourself out as fast as possible.
Things can be replaced, people cannot be replaced.

I'll grab first my family with our pets, I'm going to protect all them even I'm the youngest. Pets are also considered as part of our family even I'm kinda irritated to them. As long as my family is still there we can always move forward and start a new living. I'm contented with them, we can always replace our materials bought in our house that will be going to burn but people important to me is irreplaceable. But if I still have time, I'm going to get my laptop, since it's a birthday present to me by my brother.

I hope this does not happen though. Hmm.. If my house is on fire, then I will grab my bag collection! After grabbing these, I'll put my favorite set of clothes and my wallet and phone. Of course, I will also grab my family with me. Happy mylotting!

This is what I would do : I'd grab anny children, pets, or elderly first. I'd grab my wallet as well and I'd pray that the fire didn't take everything else I feel is precious to me.
As soon as I and everyone were safe I'd call a fire truck.
My wallet has the important documents in them, yes I know not the smartest thing.. but well.

I would grab my children and my emerency kit, if possible. My emerency kit contains food, cothing for a few days , copies of all important documents, some cash and medications that I currently take. I dont worry about pictures because they are all digital and stored away from from the house. It's important for me to be prepared because my children depend on me so much. I got the idea to create an emergency kit when I watched a friend's home burn to the ground. They had nothing. Good thing the Red cross stepped into assist them.
