Hello Lotters,
This is indefinitely threatening to all of us here, it's hard to believe it happened.
they are definitely not choosy to whom they want to rob as long as they know how to open your door here. too bad they steal stuff in their own house.
The name of the Reporter was JAY Ruiz, am sure most Pinoys know this reporter. though he had been commenting and reporting about similar incident, he had never been on the Victim's side.
It was scary that they were ROB very quietly.......
though the blame is on the guards, they were so damn clever on this...
NO stuff is SAFE. just glad they are.
A good reason for me to sleep late even if there's a DOG..only on the front.

dear LK,
Actually my sleeping habit might spare me as well- hehehe.
Although we have dogs- still being awake at wee hours keep me on guard for unwanted movements around- ok....plus the cctv cam from the other building is also a great help.
but yes, no one is safe...therefore we should rely on our own but trust the most powerful ONE Above...

Sometimes I worry when I leave the house to go to work. I worry that my house might get robbed since there is no one left at home and I don't own a dog. I do have good locks on my doors and windows, but one can never tell when these crooks will strike. If I would let my paranoid self get a hold of my senses, I'd probably not be able to leave the house even to buy food. My reason for this is that I know that even going to work or coming home isn't safe because jeepneys, buses and vans are also being robbed. I guess we all just have to be extra careful and pray to the high heavens that these crooks don't target our homes.

I have seen the news and he was still shaken thinking someone was inside their home and good thing was that the burglar did not hurt his kids.. it is scary thinking someone was inside your home.
As for me, i always make sure doors are locked, we do have dogs and well sometimes they are not guarantees..but then i do not think someone would go inside as we are not even rich, the burglar would not find anything inside valuable.

Hey there Letran,
It is just sad that people are so creative and so damn ingenious when they are trying to steal people but can't even manage to land a job and get a normal life , this people are sick and if chance prevails if I do catch a burglar in my house with my father's loaded 38 i'll let them fly off the air with it.

robbers nowadays strike anywhere, even here in the province. in fact we got robbed a few week ago.
I saw that news about the break-in in Jay Ruiz's house. That was really scary becasue thay took things that were just beside their bed. My dad said the robbers probably had some spray with sleeping gas to make the victims sleep soundly but I doubt it. That would require gas masks right?

I have 2 words: CCTV camera,
It can really protect our families but it gives evidence against the burglars, Whether the burglar wears mask or not it can actually help to solve cases faster. Another one families should have is a burglar alarm. A Burglar alarm saved my family from a group of men who tried looting my family's house. On the bright side he have a scoop he can report on TV, he is a reporter/news journalist after all.
