Hi there.
I guess I'm a bit late responding to your discussion. But anyway, here goes my thoughts on the subject.
At present, I'm in-charge of my mom's internet cafe. I'm not an IT graduate but our technician has left for a foreign land a couple of years ago. We had a hard time searching for the right applicant because the business doesn't only deal with gaming or internet surfing. We also cater to printing, uploads, downloads, scanning, printing, encoding, and a lot more. Most of the applicants back then were inexperienced, or were fresh graduates, or knew only one or two (troubleshooting) but is a newbie with encoding or downloads.
To make the long story short, I had to quit my daytime job to work full-time here in the shop / cafe. Also, we were cautious that the next technician might not be worthy of trust. There was a case like this in the past already.
As experienced years ago, daily sales was way below the breakeven amount when we still haven't ventured into the "additional services" which I have stated above. Aside from this, you also have to learn the new upgrades and be able to assist your clients in their relevant queries regarding research and other stuff on the internet; specially if your clients are mostly students. You also have to learn various applications or programs (photoshop, movie maker, power point presentation, etc.) in order to boost your sales.
Oh and one more thing, you also need to have a license on using Microsoft programs, if this is available on your computers. Try to ask around.
Good luck on your endeavor.

My suggestion would be constant updating of your games and applications in order to keep up with competitors. Another thing would be a strict management of your business. I noticed that most of the internet cafes here have one advance computer with a high memory capacity wherein all games and application are kept. Shortcuts are just created from that unit and are pasted on the individual computers. Through that method, you can easily update a game without having to update it one by one on your computer units.

I once managed my uncle's internet cafe and I think I can suggest a few things to help you. Here are some things you might consider, but seeing that you already opened, I think it will be useless now but I'll just state it anyway: In choosing computers, one must make sure it must last at least 3 to 5 years, with this knowledge it is therefore wise to but computers with more than average specification. This is because games now are rapidly evolving and if you choose to save by buying low end computers then you are actually not doing yourself a favor because by the end of the year or early the following year your computers might not be able to handle recent games of that time and customers usually go for those kinds of games. Having this specifications also guarantee you satisfaction for customers because when they like what they see and feel, they will definitely choose to come back, so nothing can really go wrong with a fast computer. The next thing you should have is a person who knows ow to maintain your units. It is very important that you can trust this person because you will most likely be adhering to his advises regarding your unit, and this person usually handles everything so it is best that you know that the person you put in-charge of this will not blind-side you off your computer parts. Also make sure that this person knows a lot of things in the computer world including but not limited to troubleshooting and repairing, games, and other important software. It is also important to heavy a steady and fast internet service provider, because like me, most customers hate two things: slow computers and slow internet connection. Another thing to greatly consider is coziness of your place, this includes temperature and space so it is important to make sure that your air conditioning system is doing it's job well and that computers are located properly and with enough space apart from each other. Well, these are the only things I can think of for now, but I hope I have helped in some way. Good luck on your business!

OK internet cafe business is very active this days and you can make it if you have a good technician for it. Many people has use internet-cafes to be miloniens today.
So i will urge you to also try but i remand you, you have to get a good technician for the cafe. It is the technician who has to always take good care of the computers before it can function well and last long.

Hi, I hope for your success! There's a lot of internet cafe here in our place but because of stiff competitions only a handful survives after one year. One close down, then another internet cafe opens.

for now Dota/2, Diablo, and LoL are very popular in the net shop wherever I go. but I really suggest that you have server type computer where all the games, apps, and files are there and any computer can open it without inside that computer, just like my friend do. he did that just to prevent copying of games in usb and just to monitor what they do in the computer and also its very cheap because those computer dont have big hard drives just video card and ram.
