My chubby was died last year for an old age decease. he is chow-chow breed and I love him because he didn't bother me much, he don't chew things and never get too much excited. He has the characteristics of being snub but very much loyal to me. He is the total opposite of my new pet at home. Sally "The dalmatian" is so hyper and always get excited. I get irritated at her sometimes. It chew on my things most of the time and it gets me 4 long months before he was potty trained. I was thinking of swapping for a chow chow breed again. Any advice to tame a 5 months old dalmatian?

You want too much for a 5 months old puppy, no matter the breed. Any puppy is supposed to be always excited. Everything is new to them and they love to discover the world. I suggest you to wait until she grows up. She will be a totally different dog after the age of two.

That's OK. I hope you will have the patience to wait until she grows up. Dalmatians are gorgeous dogs, they are so elegant and distinguished! I hope you will enjoy her as an adult.

watch the 'dog whisperer' on the National Geographic channel. i am really amazed with how he controls the dogs. according to him the dog only shows what his master feel so if you are calm then your dog will be calm. I tried this with mine but I got no success

I watch it sometimes but I I think he has the ability to speak to dogs directly and we do not posses the talent like him.

Hi Oh,, I love pet dog. I remember, 5 years ago we have a dog like your hyper dog "Sally". We named him as "Jumper" since he loves to jump all the time..:) He chew on many things too.grrr,, My father tried to teach him a lot of tricks.. I guess in your case just be patience my friend, "Sally" is still young. Perhaps she will change as she grows mature. Enjoy your puppy. Have a great day..^_^
