Mark Boucher announced his retirement from international cricket , the decision was announced to the public by Graeme Smith. It was a sad ending to Boucher's career as he suffered a severe injury to his eyes on a match against somerset. Doctor's gives the impression that it was tough for him to recover from the injury sustained as his lens was totally damaged. Boucher will not be able to play because now he is almost blind in one part . Boucher considered as one of the greatest wicket keeper batsman should have got a good farewell . unfortunately his career came to a sad end. Hope he could recover from the injury soon and may able to live normal life. what is your though about this fate.

Yes, it was an absolutely gutting way to end the career. He was anyhow coming to an end of his career in my opinion, but this is no way for his splendid career to end. He has been a magnificent servant for South Africa during his years with the Springboks. I hope he recovers from this injury and can lead a nice post retirement life. Cheers! Ram

ya it was really sad to here that he is stopping is career due to unfortunate accident in the field. he is a good keeper batsman with good reflex, but still was not able to avoid the bales hitting his eye. he was supposed to retire from cricket in the next series. but due to this unfortunate incident he was forced to make his retirement soon. It is really sad that his lens is damaged.hope that he will get well soon and recover from this accident.

Certainly is a sad end. This is was supposed to be his last tour. Boucher had planned quite well for it as well it seems. As they say, life is what happens when you are busy planning something else.

Hi I have just see that on TV news. And surely it is a sad thing. He is surely a great wicket keeper plus batsman for South Africa, and now South Africa will miss a good match winner player. The more sad thing is that he has to retired from cricket because of that eye injury. He should had wear helmet. Anyways, its a sad end for a good cricketer.
