i downloaded audacity yesterday because i had to remove some vocals from a song. I have done this on another computer and nothing went wrong then so i didn't worry about my computer getting any virus but this time it seem like it did catch one.
whenever i open a browser instead of going to google which is my homepage it goes to another unknown website. i scanned my computer but it didn't detect anything wrong and i erased all my browsing history but still this unknown website comes in.
Anybody here who can enlighten me if this indeed is a virus?

I too faced this kind of problem once downloading a software in my system. It may be a virus. All the installed programs are in your cöntrol panel. So go to your control panel and select the add or remove software. Find the newly installed unwanted program and remove it from your system to come out from your issue.

Hi friend, sad to hear about this. Did you checked your home page details in your browser setting? may be you or some other person in your household will change it, so only this new site appears. Apart from it, do you feel that your system is working slow? if yes, then your system may affected with virus. Do you have anitvirus/maleware software in your system? run the virus scan to remove the unwanted threats and virus from your system
