Some of us are employees and we have what we called team that each of us needs to be part of. What would be the benefits if we work as a team? How it differ working alone. It depends on the job you have, in my case most of the times, I want to work alone but there are times that I need a helping hand so I really wish there is someone who back me up. It's really better to work as a team than all alone doing a loads of job.

I am the type that can work independently or in a team. But if I were given a choice, I would pick the independent track. I have been independent in my activities while growing up and it’s not second nature for me to be alone and doing the work. Of course, it gets lonely sometimes but it’s part of the job. There are perks and some disadvantages and you have to work through them if you want to work effectively. Lastly, it depends on the person . if you can all get along and work together, a team would be nice. But you also have to know how to work on your own.

I am a Supervisor. But before I was promoted, I really feel that I think I have to work alone so that whatever the consequences of any actions or decisions I have, it will be my sole responsibilities and not with other people. Because if you are part of the time, each one of you is liable to any mistake that each member will have. So better, work alone...

Yes it depends on situation. If you work in team who don't be alone to have all the burden of responsibilities. It divides among the team members. On the other hand some situation are like people love to work alone in their work station. That is also good. People who work alone have high concentration and focus to achieve their personal goals.

Working as a part of a team is simply amazing and brings out the best output you can take! That you have professionalism in action means no issue you can never resolved with more effort, team collabaration and participation. They say the more the merrier. You ask each others feed back on how effective your idea is and thus producing more accurate report!

Personally, I think for the most part, it often depends on the job one might be doing and if your job or situation requires one or more people to get the job done the best. Personally most jobs do require some form of team work to make sure the job gets done the best. So if you are willing to work together to provide the best customer service their is, you will be happy and so will everyone else that you are giving service too.

Hi Kiyumi, In foreign enterprise here, they emphasized a lot on the team spirits. It is true that one's power is limited. Some of the projects need the team's effort to accomplish. For me, I am getting along with my colleague well before, but now it seems a little hard for me. I am not sure why. I was pushed on the board of supervisor, but as a matter of fact, I am not qualified at management. Sometimes it is very hard for me as I need to give some money out for the sociality and I don't think my salary is much higher than them. I am so contradicted on this. I am conscious if I am still qualified for the job. People always said that you should learn how to become a human before you know how to handle the work. I know the principle, but sometimes it is just very hard to achieve. If I don't bribe them or give any benefits, I am not a good leader?

I myself like to work alone and right at the end come together as a team for a final presentation. I feel when i work alone I am not limited to certain things and thoughts but can think out the box. Of course I would strive for an outside opinion once in a while as well. Each has it's advantages and cons.

I prefer to do both, because I need change. But I'm a bit more of a lonely wolf, I think I can do better when I'm working alone, because then I have my own working rhythm and scheduke, don't have to adapt to other people, and I know that I'm going to be praised for good work, and I'm going to be dissed for bad work... when there is a team, it might happen that a leader type steals all the spotlight for others' work or that all the team blame one perso for failure, usually the weakest link, not the one who really is to be blamed.

I have a part time summer job where I am a part of a team, a very large team. I enjoy working like this, because I am never really ever "alone". I also work online where I am more independent and normally not a part of any "teams". I enjoy this type of work just as much as my team member job. They are a great contrast of each other.
