I am the last to board a flight as I like to hang around in the lounges. Once I board I pretty much get ready for take-off and then we good to go. I hate the long haul flights of 18 hours as I tend to get bored and need wifi for my work etc.
What about yourself?

I used to bring some books and magazines with me and read while waiting for the flight to keep myself busy and drink coffee to keep me awake. Also I always bring my laptop with me so that I can browse in internet or play some games while waiting.

Airports due vary and the best one to wait for a flight is the one in Singapore. I felt the worst one to have a long layover was Nairobi in Kenya. The airport lounge was uncomfortable so shopping was the best thing to do. I got a mom, dad and two children costume dolls for my collection. It was a trip to the Seychelles on the cheapest airline that went there. I like to take a notebook and pen in case I am bored waiting for my flight. I take a reading book and my e book reader. I take my personal music player. I can always read my travel guide book and write notes about planned sightseeing in my destinations. Waiting for my homeward flight I can update my travel wish list for the future. I can think which countries I would like to visit in the next three years.

If I'm not getting something to eat, then I usually find a spot close to an electrical outlet, plug in my laptop and check my emails or read/view ebooks that I have stored in my hard drive. Most airports have free wifi so I try to take advantage of that. I find I have a hard time reading paperbacks but reading from my laptop is fine.

I must think of something that will help me become productive like Do myLot if I have with me my laptop, or meet new friends its also quite an enjoyable activity to do at least when you are going to a place that is so new to you, you will have someone to help you. Or you can just listen to a music at least that would help not to keep you bored.

I will usually find the nearest bar to my gate and go have a drink and an appetizer to kill some time! If there is no bar close by I will walk the area so I can get some exercise before I end up sitting for a long time on the flight.

This Saturday we will have a travel and be sure we will arrive at the airport in advance. I know we shall wait for a long time there but it is better to miss the flight:) I think we will take some photos or try to figure out something fun in the airport so that my son will not feel so bored to it:)
I love China

Hello jricky,
I usually go around the nearest area while waiting for my flight.
But when I am tiered I read.
This is the reason why I always bring a pocket book with me.
In times I forget one, I write simple articles for submission online
Topics include those that I observe within the area.

hi ricky, the majority of the time when I am taking a flight I
am not alone...so we just get something to eat and just sit and
chat,,,time seems to go really fast...it normally my friends so
we normally we have a lot to chat about even if it the flight
or the place of out arrival...the excitement once we land..we
also talk about my ears hurting and how i can maybe avoid the pain.

Oh, it sucks to be waiting too long for the plane to start boarding. Especially if you got to the airport very early, only to find out that your flight got delayed, or worse- cancelled.
Well, while waiting, I would have coffee or eat something, get online on my phone or laptop (if I have it), play mobile games, perhaps. There's actualy a lot of things I can do while waiting. Also, it would be perfect time to do last minute research on what to do when I arrive at my destination.

Play my mobile phone games? Or text message a friend?
But I would also life sketch if I brought my sketchbook seeing how I am a art student after all and the waiting time can be use to practice drawing from my surroundings.

I relax. I people watch. I eat. I walk around the airport sometimes discovering interesting businesses. I do things on my iPad.
Two weeks ago, I returned from my 50th high school reunion. I had to get to the airport very late at night and my plane did not leave until early morning. I slept in the airport. And I was not the only one sleeping in the airport.
