I already knew that the people were only allowed to eat meat after the flood.I also assumed that Joshua's brothers didn't sell him directly to the Egyptians but that's just my knowledge of how the slave trade tends to work a third party tends to catch slaves or buy them from whoever caught them and then sells them on to whoever needs the slaves to work for them.
