Our mind is one of most powerful things that we have. It has the power to make our lives what it should really be. It directs our actions and at the same time does explaination to whatever consequences we get along the way.
For me, happiness is a state of mind. Happiness depends on what we think and what we feel and not on what we have. We absolutely have the power to make ourselves
happy. There are some happenings that might give us negative energy but all we have to do is to look at the brighter side and find ways to make life full of happy thoughts.
How about you? Do you think that the mind is the source of happiness?
I would like to hear your side..:)

This thingamajig called life is under no obligation to go the way we want it to go. It has rules of its own or no rules at all.
So, we have to take life as it comes. Of course, we must make our best efforts and not worry about the results. The cup is not always to the fastest and the prize to the wisest, according to the Bible.
Take life as it comes. nobody has a full glass. It all depends how you look at a half filled glass.
Feel happy as there is no better alternative.
If not, feel miserable and make your life a burden to you and others around you. The choice is yours.
Happiness is definitely a state of mind.

hello,
I think what u said is partly true because we need to be happy mentally and physically as well. happiness is a state of mind is true, we need to believe that what we have is enough and we need to be happy with that. But also sometimes it becomes really important u know to judge whether we are really happy or we are just cheating ourselves by making our heart and mind believe that we are very happy. So it totally depends on person to person. I think we all should be happy with what God has gien us. Thats should be our motto.

I believe happiness is state of mind and body. If your body doesnt feel good or happy, your mind lets you know to do something about it so then it too can settle and be happy.
I always find myself feeling great after a good session at the gym. Exhausted but satisfied that my body has done as much as it can do so i end up being able to sleep better because my body is happy. My mind ends up happy too.
The same when you are hungry, if you havent been eating or drinking properly that day, your body suffers and so your mind tells you to do something about it. Lack of fluid can cause u to develop a headche so you drink to stop this. Some people get a headache if they are hungry, so they eat. Once your mind tells you to satisfy your body, in a healthy manner, your mind will soon be happy too

I really think it is, as I tried to be thankful and be peaceful for just that minute, and then increased to the 2nd minute and so on and I find my self being fully happy half a day, and then in the end of the day I realized that if I was thankful, letting the little things go, don't mind too much I could have another and another day until I had a whole life of it.
Louise Hay was raped not once, she had cancer, she's happy and still negativeness still haunts her from time to time but her attitude is healthy so she healed her body and soul, she forgave and is now on her 80s being happy when she had all excuses to not be, and I was amazed by the way she walked on stage, she doesn't seems her age at all. If she done surgery, I don't know but she walks like a younger person.

Yes. Happiness is indeed a state of mind. As a kid my mom always called me the "optimistic" since whenever something wrong happened I found the good in it & tried to get the est out of the situation.
I was a very happy child.
As I grow up it became harder to keep that way of thinking. Yet, a few years ago I decided it is time to make a different. The world is so dark as it is I need to stay positive or I'll get nuts. So I forced myself to look at the good stuff for a while, and then it become natural again.
Now I try to always be as positive as possible.
