I think we don't have to be workaholic to be successful. For me, workaholics are people who are too dependent on their work and it seems like work is the central point of their lives. Without it, life for them is like meaningless.
They could earn much money or earn more than what others have.
Being workaholic has many risks - physically and mentally.
But the saddest part of all is the loss of your own family.
When you have these kinds of loss, I think you will not be successful at all.
What about you? Share your thoughts and I am more than willing to learn more from your insights.

It depends on the situation. As for me, when it comes to job I am a hard-working person with passion and very motivated to finish it no matter what. I cannot leave my job and then take another job because i take responsibility of what I do. It doesn't matter it pays me very low because I can learn and improve more if opportunity comes.
When it comes to family. I am working hard for them but its not necessarily work and work. We need time to relax our mind and body. We must have spiritual time. This is a must to have a relationship to Him it is so important in our daily lives because without him any moment your gone and your sacrifices never pays.
Yes, I experienced that but I am glad he never left me coz he knows I'm working for him.All I do is for him nothing else....

I tend to agree with you that workaholics are not necessarily successful although if one is diligent the chances of being a success is much greater. It is important to note that one must not only work hard but must also work smart in order to reap success. Hard work alone cannot guarantee success. There are lots of hard working people who are not getting very far in their career. They need to be effective and must also have that X- factor in order to be truly successful. Have a good day.

If you love money and you are dying to reach your biggest goal thru money, you'll likely be a workaholic. We work hard for money that what keep us motivated. Successful people never waste time. They value time and they do something to get nearer with their goals. However, I don't want to be a workaholic though I love money. he he..we just need to balance everything.
Happy mylotting!

Workaholic in the extent that you still need to balance it with enjoyment in life. To work hard is really needed to achieve your dreams and be success in life but still have to enjoy life to balance it and to avoid being tired all the time to extent that you cant enjoy your success due to tiredness and stress.

Most of the time, yes, you have to be really dedicated. But there are some people who are just really smart and often times lazy, for example, scammers or con artists. It also depends on what we see as successful. For someone, even earning for a living and having a nice house is success, but for someone else, the trade's opinion what counts... so, you never know :).
