The notions about beauty and elegance differ from person to person. In fact everyone carries his own concepts of beauty and good looks. It is absolutely wrong to believe that all pretty women have a white complexion. The color of the skin has little to do with physical beauty. A dark complexioned woman would appear much more beautiful than their white skinned counterparts. Beauty hence is in the general outwardly charm and physical stature and not in color of the skin.

To me, skin color has absolutely nothing at all to do with the beauty of a person. I think that the beauty of a person is very much in the features that people have on their body. I think that a person of any color can have eyes that are quite striking and the shapes of each feature in the body has something to do with the overall beauty of a person. With that said, good looks are something that definitely does happen for all people.

Healthy skin is much more important to beauty than the color of the skin. Damaged skin is not attractive even if the skin is white. (Skin that is too white is not beautiful either - it makes you look like a corpse.)
So, take good care of your skin and your overall health. It is much more important than the skin shade.

Hello sukumar,
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
When I read your discussion I remember about an actor, who is a comedian actor in films in our native state, he is dark in complexion, gathered many awards, popular in film and popular in mimics too. Once he had given an interview to a women’s magazine, where he said that ‘all may say the black is beautiful (there is a saying in our language, which means black is 7 times beautiful) but if you go for a marriage, you will say if the bride is fair, vow! how fair she is, you never say if she is dark in complexion, vow, how dark she is. I think he is trying to express his disappointment in his complexion, and beauty concept of common people. .Just shared when I remember his story.
I agree, the beauty does not depend on the colour. Even if the person looks good physically, he/she need a beautiful mind too to add the real beauty.

I agree with you. People nowadays wants to be white. Lotion, whitening cream and soaps are everywhere. I personally think that black beauty looks sexier compare to people who is white. Being white doesn`t define beauty at all, which makes people confused nowadays. They prefer white skin than dark. I have read though that people with dark complexion has healthier skin. But you know at the end of the day, Beauty will be in the eye of the beholder

Hi Sukumar,
Our beauty judgment always come from the TV impact. In most of people's eye, if people have a white complexion, they would look beautiful. That is why there is some tragic things happening. People would come to the beauty salon for whitening surgery and then suffer the pain from the failure one.
In fact, I don't agree the skin complexion would affect much on the look. Some girls even go to the beach to burn their complexion so that they would look healthy and sexy. Health is the most important thing for the beauty and good look.

That really IS true. Everyone have different tastes, so we can't say something or someone is objectively beautiful. Because of society's and media's view of beauty, I thought no one would ever like me as I'm a bit chubby, but for my boyfriend now, I am the most beautiful woman in the world :).
