Time warp

Mylot has now become a part of my life although I don't get sufficient time to participate here.So whenever I go elsewhere for some work,I have to leave Mylot as I don't have a laptop. But when I come back home after a few days and resume participating in Mylot,it seems to me as if I have entered a time warp or as if I am participating here for the first time. And then it takes me four or five days to be familiar with the site once again.
Do you have such experience or is it only me?

Yes,this happens to me all the time. After a break I feel tentative and insecure,as if I am meeting all you guys for the first time .Not just in mylot,in every forum that,I am a part of(dedicated mylotter now).My typing speed is about 30 -40wpm with errors. But after a short break/comeback its very difficult to type even 15wpm.I'ld sit pondering ,'this or that ?,.This happens only with me,cos I am thinking in some other and translating it to english(i hope).
I am sure that this thing is not happening with you.U are such a great writer..eating english, sleeping english, sitting english,standing...

You are absolutely right. That's exactly what I feel when I log on to Mylot after a break. It feels to me as if I am visiting the site for the first time and sometimes I have to recollect how to respond to discussions here.Till now you are the only one who have got me.But excuse me,I don't eat, sleep, stand and sit English.Just like you I too think the response in my mother tongue Hindi and then translate it into English. This is what you do.You think in your mother tongue Malyalam and then get it translated into English.
And,sorry.I am not a great writer of English or even my mother tongue,Hindi.I just read a lot in Hindi and sometimes English books and articles.English is as foreign a language to me as it is to you.We both are on the same boat.
Thanks for a nice response.

What can I say, dear.May be it is only by chance. So much as I know English,I don't see any grammatical mistake in your writing.Left on me I would like give you a blue star with a reputation 99 or 100.You are viewing me through a microscope.Tell me,if I am so good at English, why don't I have a blue star??
I am really grateful to you to give me the honor that I don't deserve. That's the truth. And I am not trying to be pseudo humble. Thanks a lot.

A writer is a writer , when it is already in system , we will never be able to get rid of it , we will really end up in writing again.
of course others experience like you do but i am just lucky , can't end up a day without Lotting. It is my system already.

You are right. You participate in Mylot regularly,so it has become a part of your system, something that you can't leave even for a single day. It's the same with me.When out of station,I can't do mylotting.I feel as if I am bound to observe a fast and am hungry. So back home, when I resume it,it seems as if I am doing it for the first time.
Thanks for a nice response.

Yes my case is similar to you. I too do not have a laptop. I had been to my parents for 10 days last week and was totally away from my dear and near one of Mylot. I always feel something missing in life. Now a days i have become so habitual of operating on the said site that after waking up in the morning up till now i use to read newspapers after morning rites, but now the newspaper reading is replaced by Mylot.

Mylot is an addiction, dear.Once you enter this platform and start sharing,it becomes almost impossible to leave it.If you don't have a laptop and you are out of home for some days,it is really like experiencing a time warp when you return home and resume mylotting.Everything seems new, something we are doing for the first time in our life.
Thanks for sharing.Wish you a long and happy life.

No i don't have such a experience. It is very very true that now a days Mylot is a vital part of my life. I am out of city due to work and can not write in Mylot but i always find that something is missing in the life. I am so attached to Mylot that after coming home the first thing i would prefer to participate in Mylot. It is really a pleasure for me for more than anything.

But I have such experience every time I come back to Mylot after a long time. After every break, the site appears new to me for a few minutes till I have responded to some discussions. You appear familiar to Mylot more than I am.I miss the site when I am away from the site,I miss it very much.Back on it,I feel I am visiting it for the first time.
