In my life I have met lots of people from various walks of life. It seems to me that no matter how many universities they graduated from, there wasn't any normal talking to them. Sure, not all of them were like that, but some of them behaved like nerds. So what do you think about it?

I may or may not agree. I'm not sure yet. Interesting observation. Please define nerd. I know that people like Einstein (though was he an University Grad not sure) were genius in that they could communicate very large reasoning to the average person and make themselves understood though that may not be what you meant. Not everyone graduate or not is capable of that. Having an intellegical discussion is one thing but having a natural/normal discussion for the purpose of information exchange is another. Everyone does not communicate in the same way. Can you clarify what you meant by normal? Also social discussion does vary if that is the purpose.

By normal talking I meant talking about everyday topics with a capablity to understand what the discussion is about. These people, in my opinion, lack so called interpersonal intelligence. They find it difficult to understand others as far as moods, feelings etc. are concerned.

I think I understand what you mean because I’ve experienced lack of communication skills from all different people. I would discribe it more like a language impairment. Often the words and thoughts are on a different level by people who come from different walks of life. Some talk about the price of corn flakes and others about the flaky economy. That kind of thing. Although, once I did have a young university grad write me a note at work and I thought it was a code of some sort. When asked she said sorry. Apparently she never learned how to write by using a pen and paper. All her work was on laptop. Now that is an example of different stokes for different folks.

A university degree is definitely not a guarantee of intelligence. Nor is it a guarantee of aloofness, snobbishness or being a nerd. I have three degrees which I only mention so that you will know that I have had the experience. I have worked with people who had degrees and people who didn't have degrees and there were all kinds in both categories. I had friends in both categories and did things with people in both categories and that was true of many of the people I knew in both categories. Sure there people who behaved as you mentioned but they weren't necessarily limited to the ones that had degrees. What I am trying to say is that you can't bundle people up in as all being the same just because of something they have or haven't done.

Hello Alesma and welcome to myLot. These days getting a university education is over sod for a lot of people. There are two kinds of education and two kinds of intelligence One is book or college smart and then there is what I like to call like smart. Those people that are book or college smart know a lot of facts and things found in books. The life smart people are the ones that can do a lot of different things and figure out how things work and how to get along and ahead in life.

Hi friend, university degree will help us to increase our knowledge, but it is not a great proof of our intelligence, some persons whoever passed university don't have more knowledge as well as some persons with school education have more knowledge, improving our knowledge is based on our interest, it don't depends up on our qualification and education
