Watching hunger games now...

Hey there Guys, i know most of you have already seen the hunger games movie well i just borrowed a dvd in one of probably the last of the movie rental stores here in my country because of the piracy thing, well it is just starting and man is it weird really. And more like a take on gladiator new and futuristic version.

I was not so keen on watching just another fantasy movie but now after reading the positive reviews here, I want to watch it 
The last fantasy movie I watched was Chronicles of Narnia. Nowadays I see so many action & fantasy movies. I have lost interest in them.

I know I'm just being persnickety, but Hunger Games is science fiction, not fantasy. As an avid fantasy fan, I'm a little obnoxious about pointing out the difference between the two.

Hello there,
DOn't know much about how a movie is really categorized but I agree with ally i think the movie is sci-fiction as it has lots of fictional science thing in there but really unlike Narnia that has talking animals and stuff like half human half horses, anyway the movie is great and pupupd you should watch the movie.

Well my friend it is a very good teen movie. The whole book series is awesome. I have read all the books in this series. And when I came to know that they are making a movie on this, I was very disappointed because after watching the Twilight series I was so sad that I cant explain it to you. The movies in twilight series was so bad. But after watching the hunger games movie, I must say I was pretty happy. They have made a brilliant movie and casted great actors. Jennifer Lawrence is awesome in this movie. I just loved her in this movie. It was far far better than the twilight series.

when i watched the movie on cinema in malaysia, i admitted it really a great movie.
the hunger games title itself was attractive. and after watched rottentomato review i really really got into this movie . i watched it after that.
it has everythings in this movie. emotional element, action element and good storyline. a novelty feeling.

I'm a fan of the Hunger Games! Read the first two books back in 2009, and Mockingjay when it was released in 2010. I went to the midnight showing of The Hunger Games with all the super hardcore nerds dressed up in costume. I thought the movie was very good, and probably the best adaptation of the book that I could have asked for, though there were a few things from the book that I missed. I saw it again on my birthday, and I plan on getting it on DVD too. I'll probably be going to the midnight showing of the second film with all the hardcore nerds in costume. I might even be one of those hardcore nerds in costume. Had an idea to make Katniss's wedding dress to wear because I love dresses and that would be the most interesting one from the book. Hope they don't cut it.

it like a futuristic gladiator type of movie added the modern element into it. NO DOUBT gladiator whole concept showed inside the movies. many people are into it. the poorest fighting in the arena while the wealthiest watching at the side for thrilling experiences.
personally think that it might be a some kind of sign..a hidden moral values wanted us to look back history and learn from mistake. is there a second series of hunger games??
