Philippines is truly blessed with many great beaches and wonders of nature. My family had traveled to Puerto Princesa, Palawan and was able to see and experience the nice beaches and witnessed the wonder of Underground River. Lately, the Underground River was recognized among the great wonders of the world.
Prior going to the Underground River, Sabang Port provides a beach that truly my children have enjoyed. Aside from free use and entrance, this beach is being maintained by the government and is classified as virgin for it is not yet modernized. If you will travel, I would suggest to explore first the Philippines prior going abroad. There are a lot of great beaches and historic places. I am proud to say that it is more fun in the Philippines!

Wow, lucky you, having been to Palawan! It's one of my ultimate vacation list. Last summer, me and the hub were finally able to go to Boracay, and the beach is soooo cool! Despite the heavy human traffic (LOL!) I say it didn't dampen the summer spirit that's uniquely Boracay. We hope to be back someday with other friends, and maybe swing by Palawan for a couple of days too. I'm crossing my fingers and my wallet haha!

Boracay would be my next stop after Cagayan. Then Puerto Prinsesa is the last. This year I am living and experiencing more fun in the Philippines.
I am just so excited that I will be in Boracay soon, God willing. I have long been waiting to have the opportunity to see the beauty of its white sand and its sea.

Boracay was again acclaimed as the Best Beach in the world. So i say that you are lucky to witness its beauty. It is among my list of destination but it seemed costly due to its popularity. so hopefully, we will also experience Boracay.
thanks for your reply. :)

I would have love to post a recent picture of Boracay White Beach here, just taken last month. Unfortunately I'm still not on that level to post pics yet (boohoo!) lol!
Anyway, we made sure to go on foot and trek the whole span of the beach area and we discovered lots of lodging and accommodations that are easy on the budget, without sacrificing the comforts necessary for a decent sleep. I mean come on, if you're in Boracay you will only need a room for sleeping, you wouldn't spend most of your time cooped up in your room, right? We would have saved a lot if we only knew before hand about these lodgings; we were already booked and paid in a fancy hotel for the whole duration of our Boracay stint. Oh well...

nice that your having a good vacation with your children along. yes, you are right that there are lots of scenic and breathtaking places here: the beaches, the forests, mountains, rivers and etc. like you i would like to recommend that before going abroad try to explore the hidden paradise in this island and call for everybody, help conserve the nature and its beauty for the future generations and such. ;)

I agree to both of you. Aside from enjoying and having fun in the beautiful places of our country, we should also not forget to take care of them. We, Filipinos should help in preserving our natural resources. We must conserve our nature for this is something brings beauty to our country. There will be no more fun in the Philippines if they will be destroyed.

I may not see those places that you've been into, I am from the Philippines but I am proud of my country. and I always believe that "It's more fun in the Philippines". With all the beautiful places that you can go to, experience all the different delicacies that our country has to offer, the hospitality of filipino people and the culture and tradition it has to offer. I just hope you'll continue visiting our country.

I am actually thinking of planning a culinary tour for my family. This tour is travel and cultural education in one. You get to eat and travel at the same time. It is a way of teaching our children of what we call "Kulturang Pinoy".
Thanks for your reply.

It's great! You've been in one of the seven wonders in the world. Well I am in the central part of the country but we are also planning to visit Palawan soon, esp the underground river... I could not just imagine how calm and vast the river is.

How I wish I would be able to see and experience the wonder of that Underground River.
I will be going to Puerto Prinsesa with my relatives, and I am hoping we can include that Underground river in our itinerary. I am just so excited to be in another place in our country. It's just so nice having so many beautiful places in the Philippines.

Truly, we should not be a stranger to our own country. Before exploring scenic sites abroad, we should take time first to travel and enjoy our own sceneries. This way, we are also contributing to our own economy aside from helping our local tourism industry.

Hi Lovcie,
I agree with the concept that others have expressed here in that it is important to explore and appreciate the beauty of your own native land as well as teach that to our children. I am in America and my thinking is the same. There are so many wonderful and beautiful places to explore and see right here. I'm 56 and still have not seen all there is to see here. If ever the opportunity came about to afford to travel abroad, I'm sure that I would love your country also. It sounds very beautiful and natural. You should upload some pictures.

It's more fun in the Philippines! We, Filipinos should always keep this in our minds and hearts. Most of us keep on dreaming of touring other countries and see how beautiful their place is. We forget that our country also needs our appreciation and patronage. Many are also not aware that Philippines has so much to offer and that their are a lot of fun we can find in our very own country.
I definitely agree to you that it is best to explore first our country before touring others. If other countries have beautiful places to see, Philippines has a lot more.

if your in a tight budget I suggest you go to Tanay Rizal the place is great, a lot closer from Metro Manila and if you have a motorcycle club you and your buddies can just stroll there watching the beauty of nature

I agree with you. Before appreciating the beauty of nature of other nations, let us patronize our own first. We have a lot of attractive sight-seeings here like forests, beaches and other works of nature.
Hopefully, more Filipinos will pledge to love and protect our remaining natural reserves and tourist attractions since they are quickly being harmed.

This is true. As Filipinos, we are the first in line to appreciate what Philippines has. Going to other countries and appreciating their beautiful places is good, but we must not forget that in our own country we do have beautiful places too. When we are able to see and appreciate the beauty of the Philippines, we are able to recommend this to foreigners and with that simple way, we are able to help our tourism.
