Well I’m in a strange kind of situation, well let me tell you the whole story first.
I use to work in a Telecom company and I worked their for almost five years as a sales
manager, but one day I had few arguments with the company official and they told my owner to FIRE ME, My owner didn’t fire me and he said that I’ll change your designation (He didn’t fire me just because it was me who was running his business not him) and their for my salary will decreased, I requested him that he can change my designation if he want to but I will not compromise on my salary and disagreed and I left that job and joined a Transport company. In this company my salary is very good and I’m getting more then what I expected. Now after four months my previous boss called me and asked me to come back, but again salary is not as big as my present job. Now I am very confused I would love to go back in my previous company coz I love doing that job and let me confess that I don’t like my present job. Now two things are stops me for going back,
1) What if my boss again fires me after five years of honest and hard working.
2) He is paying me low.
Plz tell me what should I do.

he is your boss.remember He wont love you,he loves your work.Once your not useful to him or if he finds better person than you what is your position then?Develop your present job.Start liking your job.Automatically you will fall in love with your job.you have 5 years of experience in marketing. That means you only know very well about your boss.Think as a marketing professional.you will find the answer definitely.

Thanks For your reply pnrsensecs as I am reading your previous posts and added you as my friend :d. As of you answer Yes you are right this is the reason that i'm not going back but you know what that does not proves that my present job will stay as I'm trying to love this job but every time some thing new comes up and it upsets me. Secondly Telecom Marketing and Transport marketing there is a huge difference between them which i didn't knew before but now as I am learning this new field i just some time think that I chose the wrong field.

If the difference is not so big, then I would suggest to you to go back to your previous work. The reason been that your former boss seems to have proved that you are very important part of his business so, most probably he will be afraid to fire you again. It is better to do to work in an evironment/job that you are enjoying doing even if the salary is slightly lower.

Don't come back...just focus yourself and love your present job. You should remember that you did not have a nice working relationships with your previous company's official and that you are considering of returning...think about it.

I would keep the higher paying job, if it is work you don't like then try to make it more fun or likeable somehow. Think of it differently. The other job where the pay is low, boss is a jerk and could fire you again but you like it anyways doesn't really show much as far as stability to me.

I don't want to suggest but wanna to explain situation
Here you have make clear your mind.
1st one you make sure your previous company situation in product concern
[means whether the firm growth going down or not] this information you can get from you well known colleagues.
By this you can understand whether your boss recalls you for the sake of his own benefit or really he came to know the truth. [if it is second then no need to think more, but if it first you erase your relation ship with old one.]
2nd one you had better know your recognition in current one. here you need to recall old proverb that is '' IF YOU ARE EVEN A FISH, DON'T LIKE THE WATER THEN YOU MUST QUIT'' more over one thing you do remember that when you were in bad times this company gave you opportunity with well pay , so it had better not leave.
Last but not least ''put every thing aside , decide yourself in which company your future will be more bright , step to that angle.
