KFC Philippines Cheese Top Burger - Ingenious or what?

Streetwise Cheese Top Burger - Chicken burger "reinvented"? -- with cheese, instead of having it with the patty, is placed on top of the bun

I just watched a video clip from Jimmy Kimmel Live Show talking about this new product from KFC which they called "Cheese Top Burger". Its actually chicken burger reinvented -- with cheese, instead of having it with the patty, is placed on top of the bun. So, what can you say? Have they really ran out of concepts? Or is this really clever idea for a product?

haha. I think that they really ran out of ideas on this one. Maybe the next one we will see is a bun within 2 patties. or a patty within lettuce. or a lettuce within ketchup.

well, before this one, they have this double down sandwich where they have bacon and cheese in between chicken patties. not bad, really. though the latest idea from kfc didn't quite met the expectations.

I think its a stupid concept. I mean I could have thought of that by I'm not stupid enough to even bring it up, let alone bring it into the market! but hey, this might sell because of the name and branding, but I dare some food stall or something like that "innovate" and come up with this, more people would think that they are just plain stupid and trying to look smart.

I think being featured in the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show already gives quite a stir for this product by KFC :)

Sounds pretty stupid to me, and another gimmick to get people to try something new. Seriously, there's not much left to be invented, so they're going really far out there to try to catch people's attention. The bun is meant to hold the rest of the sandwich. Cheese on top is a pretty dumb idea and I doubt it'll catch on.

Yeah, that's exactly what the bun is for. To hold the fillings so you can it eat as a whole. I think they just need to create a fresh new dish than revamp an old one.

It's absurd! It only means that aside from eating, we have additional thing to do when we dine in there. We need to put the cheese inside the bun. They're lazy people.

Why not grate the cheese for a better change? Tell it to KFC.
