Does Facebook allow us to make friends without knowing others? Facebook, infect is a socialnetworking site but why restrict us to not to make friends. It is possible might the other person could be our friend as well? Why facebook doesn't allow us to make friends?

You don't have to know people that you make Facebook friends. In fact you need to friend many people you don't know if you start playing games from Zynga. I encountered this first with paying Farmville. I started with only one real friend who was playing the game but then found that in order to achieve different goals, I needed more 'friends' to play the game. I had to beg the person I knew to share a few of her friends with me and she gave me 4. I think one of them suggested some others. One of those suggested a few others including her cat, who she had signed up on Facebook to have another friend to help her in games.
One of these new friends kept suggesting that I play Mafia Wars. I eventually tried that and became hooked. In Mafia Wars, in order to survive or win more fights, you need a mob of 500 or more. Some of those could be artificial players provided by the game but you really need to find real people to get help playing the game. Outside of Facebook, I joined a poker league where many of the players were also online playing Mafia Wars. So I friended most of them.
But I still needed more 'friends' so I begged one of the poker players who was big into Mafia Wars and he hooked me up with a girl who was online 'pimping' Mafia Wars players who needed bigger mobs. So friended her and then kept posting on her page to get more friends. Some of my new friends suggested other websites to go to for more friends. One of those also offered a free addon to play the game easier. The I started seeing Facebook friend suggestions with whom I had a few hundred common friends. Yes they were playing the game so I sent them friend requests. Of course then other players started sending me friend requests.
Today, my Mafia family has over a thousand members, most of who are real people although some of those might be playing with more than one account. I don't actively recruit new friends now although I also don't turn down new requests. Recently, I've even started trying to unfriend some of these people. Those are one's where they may have stopped playing Mafia Wars or started making posts I don't agree with.
Since I don't post much personal info on Facebook, it doesn't bother me that I don't really know a lot of my friends, except that after paying games with these people and seeing some of their posts, you do start to get to know them somewhat.
However, now I'd like to get another Facebook account to use more for personal and professional business. Plus it wouldn't hurt to use my alternate account to help me in Mafia Wars. One person just can't be a mob. (lol)

I have a lot of friend that I even don't recognize them in my facebook. It roughly not more than 25% of them is my real friend. I follw some group to add more friend for my facebook games. But the fact is we can request to make friend without knowing him/her but he/she has to approve our request.

You don't have to add anyone to your friend's list. The option ones shown are ones you might know that friends of friends or something like that. And as far as friends you can delete them or keep them at your discression. Up to you! Facebook allows us to make the final decision. Why would they not?

Wonderful fact even i wanted to do the same thing, but its a networking site which obvbiously must allow us to interact with others also.so lets hope they bring in some more new updates to allow us to add strangers with ease.that is because only of the privacy policy updation which is going on right now in facebook ,its just a matter of time to be normal to add new friends

Do you mean dependant? Anyway, facebook or any other sites should have at least a certain limit on something such as adding friends. Imagine if almost everything can be done on facebook, life will be a little bit chaotic. There's no rules or law or even guidelines in keeping facebook a little cleaner. It is just a way to keep house in order.
