I do think that songs can show our mood and thoughts. Even if its not our song, listening music can really makes us relate to it and what more if we made it our own. My daughter loves to write poems. I told her to make a song but she can`t do it. She knows how to play piano and guitar but she still can`t do it. Her poems were really expressive and she once told me that she can only write when she is very happy, lonely and in love

I think that is a great idea. Write down your song and then give the music to it.
Don't care if somebody love it or not, I am sure you will love it.

i always have wanted to try this kind of stuff of writing new and penning new lyrics for myself.but at the end of the day i certainly feel its a very bad and quite a lame idea.since only songs which impressed us or which are created by professional can appeal to us and reflect our intentions and thoughts.so i dont like to spoil my mood by creating song and reflecting ruckus

I've written some poems/lyrics over the time... just not songs, I'm a total anti-talent when it comes to music. I think they can reflect emotions pretty well, even with the music and the melody itself... but real thoughts? I mean, absolutely, the can, but there are people who are going to interpret your songs in a whole different way... but that's good... just maybe it isn't something you'd like as you sound like you want all the world to know how you feel-well, if you want to show people the song, that is :).
