I like both. Both has a different effect on me. If I had to choose one, I would choose watching a film at home, because it's more convenient, I can eat any food during the film (not only the snacks that can be beought at the film theatre), I don't have to sit in one place (like I can walk a bit, change my position on the bad/in the chair) and it's not as expensive.
But I love the cinema feeling, too. I like the big screen, the grandiosity, the glamour... that feeling that... I don' know, for me, it's festive, as I don't go the cinema that often... it's nice to move out every now and then.

You have to decide, do I want to drive to a theater, have to find a parking space, pay money to see a movie, and then put up with other people talking, kids making noise, then fighting a crowd to get out, and driving home.Of course you do get a big screen, surround sound, pop corn, if you want to pay.
At home I save time by not driving, I don't waste gas. I can eat what I want. If I'm using Netflix, I can pause the action. And I don't have to dress up. Now that I've gotten a new TV, my picture clarity is even better.I can see what color the actor's eyes are.

Most of the movies, I would like watching at the comfort of my on home through computer or T.V. but there are movies that I choose to watch in a cinema because I want to see it in a big screen with all the effects and I want to experience something more and I can only achieve this through cinema. Unless of course, I have my own theater system at home.

I would say that they have different benefits. To watch movies in cinema, you will get this cozy seat, the big screen size and the big sound, the surrounding enclosure, movie trailers, also interaction with others. Watching movies in your computer, it will be cheaper, and you save time that you do not need to walk or drive to the cinema. You can also relax at home and do other things while you are watching the movie at your computer. One more benefit is that you can pause, fast forward or rewind the movie whenever you like, LOL.

Well, if you want to enrich your experience spending time with friends or even girlfriend, I would suggest you to go to a good cinema and watch a movie in 3d. Lately I brought my girlfriend to the cinema to enjoy abraham lincoln vampire hunter in 3d. I have got to say it was a wonderful experience and you got to enjoy bigger screen, surround sound system and popcorns. It is perfect to go for cinema once in a while. ^_^

Going to the movies is more of an occasion while watching a movie home can be more relaxing as you can pause it at any time. It depends on the mood, also sometimes at the cinema there may be people disturbing the experience with their noise.

My personal preference of watching a movie is in a movie hall, or on a television. I have watched a number of movies on my computer. However, it is not very comfortable. One can enjoy movies more, sitting back and relaxing on one's TV. A movie hall is all the more better, but with very small kids, this option is very difficult.

Watching a film at home is a completely different experience to watching it at a cinema .Watching a film at the cinema is a group activity so you react differently as part of a group than you do as an individual.A good example is you'll probably laugh more and at different things than you would at home on your own. This is the reason that when people watch comedy shows filmed in front of a live audience sometimes think pre recorded laughter is being used as the audience laughs at things the person at home dosent and for much longer. This is particularly true for British sit coms of about 20-30 years ago.

for sure there is a gigantic difference between watching movies in theatre and home.but in home you cant enjoy the film sitting with more people and with huge screen and amazing sound effects and the snacks and interval break to go with it.
Actually its best if we watch in cinema hall since we can experience everything there rather than saving money at home.but i always love to watch in home only if its a lovely and nice movie with cool sound effects and amazing graphic features i will go the theater for sure.
I believe atleast we must go to theater once with friends and enjoy the complexity of the cinema or else it will be doomed.so combination of both equally is good
