My friend says that my voice sounds good on the phone.

Yes friends told me my voice on the phone is different - lady-like. So, those whom I have spoke first time on the phone wouldn't know it's me they were talking to. Until they get used to my voice. :) I tried to use the voice recording on the phone - and I found it a bit different too hahaha.

My voice sounds really bad through phone, that is one of the reasons why i prefer face to face conversation or text instead of calling.

I think not everybody because i have some friends that sounds the same whether on phone, in person and even in radio... but in my case yeah it's sounds different, my friends says that i have a sweet voice over the phone...lol

I agree, some other people's voice sounds differently when in phone. My voice sounds so different when I am on the phone. I can't even recognize my own voice during huddle and our supervisor pull up some recorded calls for review- and to my surprise while listening to it I realize that was my call and that was me on the phone-lolss

My voice is almost the same as what it sounds in person. It is deep and big but of course it does make it more bigger and deeper. My daughter`s voice sounds good also in phone. Her voice in person is normal for a girl. Quite small and high. And in phone, it actually sounds like a cartoons. Her friends often mention that to her

Hi, Very interesting question my friend.My voice sounds very different on the phone from what it is. I do not why but it sounds as if it is coming from a person 10 years younger than me. But my boyfriend says he finds my voice very attractive to hear over the phone. We two do not agree on our opinions about my voice.However, I must say I love his voice on the phone. He sounds very deep and masculine which I like. My mother's voice, when she talks to me from her office on the phone, sounds very strict and I sometimes get scared is she is angry for some reason. She has high blood pressure. My father's voice sounds just the same as it is on the phone.

Okay, actually it is true, on phone some people are more comfortable to talk than on face to face. It depends from person to person and accordingly their voice tone will change. I think it is true between you two.

According to my husband my voice sounds more sweeter on the phone because I talk in a low tone and he liked it. There are times that my husband recorded our conversions and when I heard it I cant believe that I am the one talking because there's a big differences, I thought somebody is talking but I laughed when after a few minutes I recognized my voice. I think my voice like a grade school student and you cant i imagine my age when I am talking on the phone.

I don't know about the others but all my friends says that my voice is same all the time on the phone as well as they are listening sitting in front of me. There is no difference at all. I am too puzzled to know the very fact as to why it is so and why it is not different sound like others. May be it is my one of the added qualification.

my voice on mobile is so heavy just like a person who has over 500 pounds weight so cause of that reason girls do not talk with me on mobile phone...they just listen my "hello!" and ran away.

Hi jricky1, I don't think that my voice sound different on the phone as I have no feedback on this issue at all. However I know that my voice sound different to others than to hearing it myself. I discovered this when I record my voice and play it back. Gosh, it sounded so different! Do I really sound like that. That's not me. But the recording doesn't lie. So that must be my voice. I wonder if anyone else has this same sort of experience.

I always talked on the phone with my girlfriend and sometimes I would sing for her amusement. I do have a good voice haha. However when I record the phone conversation or other recording, the voice I heard is not as wonderful as my real voice. It seems to be another person's voice. I really wonder why is such thing happening. The same goes to cameras as my photo always got distorted a bit and does not look as good as I really do.
