I just got this phone a few months back, and it went almost dead (in the red) while I was on my way home from camping. When I got home I plugged it in, it charged about half way and stopped. I tried cleaning the jack in the phone where the charged goes as last time my old phone that was the issue as there was a piece of dirt from work. I changed plugs and still nothing. Im just really frustrated right now, and dont want to deal with that crap. I have other things to worry about, and a stupid cellphone isnt one of them. I bring it to work, and while driving in case of an emergency. But I need to make sure its fully charged and working condition. I shut it off right now to save the battery, as if I go to the store, they will try to get money out of you. I simple dont have that kind of money, I took Patches to the vets last week $700.00, and need to take her back this week. Im simple charging everything to my credit card.

I don't think a blackberry is a good phone to buy anymore. To my knowledge they aren't even being made anymore. My SIL's won't hold a charge. His wife bought him a new battery and it works okay now, but he will never get another blackberry cause they are not being made anymore. Iphone has beat them out of business... iPhone is a better phone I think.

I wouldt buy an iphone if my life depended on it. My sister has one, and now seitching to a Blackberry. I figured out why it was charging Marco chewed my charger cord right through, so I ordered a new charger for it. I know Ive had trouble with the Blackberry Curves as well.

If it is your brand new phone you should not worry returning to the service center. I believe it will still be covered by defect guarantee.

I wonder if there is something wrong with the power flow in your house that causes your problems, because the only luck you seem to have is bad luck when it comes to the phones.

Maybe it's time to get a whole nother type of cell phone? Wasn't it a bold you had gotten the last time? They must not be the best of quality for there money or something is going wrong with them. I'd see about getting another type of phone, droid's are pretty good for what they are. I've not had many complaints about them and when I had mine I could mylot from it.

I have a blackberry but not a bold I have a Torch if it's not charging all the way like it should you need to go back to where you got it from and tell them what is happening. They should be able to give you a number to call the company that makes the blackberry's they should be able to give you a new one for free since you haven't had it for a year yet. I had issues with mine a few weeks back and it wouldn't charge. But what happened is I didn't leave mine on long enough and finally completely charged and then I updated my software so now it's working like it use to. But when it wouldn't charge I took it the store and they gave me a number to call of course as soon as I get a number to choice to work.

Even though I often have trouble with my BlackBerry, I continue to buy BlackBerries whenever I need a new phone. A lot of times simply taking the battery out and rebooting the phone solves the problem.
Alternatively, your battery may be damaged. You should try ordering another battery on Amazon or bidding on one on ebay.
