Everyone knows the famous quote - "A friend in need is a friend indeed". I guess this fits perfectly with the discussion topic.
Depression happens to everyone some time in their lives. I have faced it as well but I've pulled myself out of it. And, it was possible with a few kind words from one of my friends. All she said was - "everything has a time & place".
I was admitted into the actual Indian education system in the 10th grade back many years ago. As far as the Indian education system is concerned, this is the most critical year for all students. During this time students need to sit for a set of Pre-Board Exams which are really difficult. After taking the exams, I received the scores & saw that I had done really badly in almost all of the courses. Just looking at them, I fell into depression. I didn't feel like going to school. My parents forced me & only then did I go...
On one of those days, I was talking with a friend/classmate & it just came out during the conversation - the topic of these Pre-Board scores & she just said those words... Her point was when the actual Board exam comes, who knows you might just do really well... It was enough to help me snap out of the depression. I worked hard for the actual exams & I passed with pretty good overall scores!!! :)

Sadness does not solve the problem, but adds a new problem. So cheer up. I know it's not easy to do when depressed.

A friend in need is a friend indeed. We can never underestimate the role that the friendship plays in our life. I had similar experiences when I was in college. My friends saved my soul from the addiction from the video games. Cheer up and be happy!

you are only 22 . if you are depressed possible causes -- relating to education or career or business or friendship or love affair.
Whatever it may be have belief that whatever happens is for good and not to worry about them. things will take proper shape. True friends help you by telling consoling words because their expectation from you is less. You also discuss more freely with friends than with close relatives. good day.
