Hello guys, base on health studies conducted by some health experts, people who less or never eat vegetables are most likely has a great risk of having cancer than those vegetable eaters. I am vegetable eater and one of my favorites is bitter gourd. If I would eat this in my own special way, I have to grill it and chop to smaller pieces. Some people, they have to squeeze it first to eliminate the bitter taste before cooking it to eat after. For me, the best taste is the bitter-taste that serves as an appetizer. The only problem is I could not control myself eating more and more until I consume all - destroying my diet. What vegetables you love to it if you really loves veges? Let's share it.. I lov all vegetables! I can not think of one that I do not enjoy eating. I do get stuck on eating certain ones when they are in season. That's good and bad since we need to eat well rounded diets, but it's good for my grocery bill.

as i am indian,i make many recipes with any vegetable. i will take atleast 2 vegetables daily,in any form. i like any vegetable and will eat any vegetable in any form, boiled, fried, grilled or anything. my favourite vegetable is ladiesfinger.and i make 2,3 recipes with it,in my indian style. i also like bittergaurd vegetable and i make it weekly once.i make my bittergaurd curry by boiling it and sqeezing water and frying with onion and spices. diabetic patients can take bittergaurd more for decreasing it. we can get many vitamins and minerals when we eat vegetables daily. by green, yellow, orange vegetables, we can get calcium, iron, magnesium, and many vitamins. vegetables are home for antioxidants ,help body protect from oxidant stress, cancer, and other diseases, and help body develop to fight against these immunity boosting. and we can also get soluble and insoluble fiber, which are imp for healthy body. we can go for greens for getting healthy hair and skin.

I eat vegetables as much as I can. I eat approximately every other day. I also eat a variety of vegetables so I don't get tired of the taste. I don't think eating vegetables, regardless how much, will make one fat or destroy a diet. I also try to order salad for lunch when I eat out on weekends.

I love vegetables and have loads each day - I have some mostly with every meal I eat. With my breakfast I have usually tomatoes and mushrooms and I have salads and vegetables with both my other meals - either raw or cooked. I always have at least two different types of vegetable with each meal. Of course we hear all the time now that we should eat 5 a day in fruit and vegetables.Almost all fruit and vegetables count towards this five a day. However there's no limit upper to how much you can eat - sin fact the more you eat, the better. It's also good to know that you should eat a variety of fruit and vegetables to get the maximum nutritional benefits. This is because they each contain different combinations of fibre, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. Besides, eating the same ones every day would be boring. You probably won't have to dramatically change your diet to reach the recommended amount of fruit and veg you should eat. From takeaways to ready meals, fruit and vegetables can be found in many things you eat, you just need to know where to look. Fresh, frozen, chilled, canned, 100% juice and smoothies all count, as do dried fruit and vegetables

Oh my, then Im dying! I only eat a few types of vegetables and in very modest amount. I don't even eat the leafy ones. I never learned to appreciate and get fond of eating veggies since I was a kid. I do hope my kids would not follow my eating habit when it comes to vegetables.

Yes, consuming vegetables is always a good thing. If you are like me getting enough of them in your daily diet is a hard thing to do. I know myself eating them raw is always the best thing to get the most nutrients still in them. Personally I hate broccoli np matter how you fix it, but am a big fan of cauliflower, celery, and salads from time to time. Just sure I am lacking the amount they really recommend though.

You're right my friend eating raw or half cook is the best way to eat vegetables because that was the way how to eat before. I think it is okay if you can't all kinds of vegges because you really can't for as long as you eat the other kinds...Keep it up my friend, we know for sure it is really good for our health..because health is wealth... I have always enjoyed vegetables, so I've never had a problem eating them. My sister is a vegetarian. I still eat some meat (not much) but I enjoy her vegetarian cooking very much. Whenever we go to a party, my husband and I bring a vegetarian dish for her to enjoy.

A large percentage of my diet is veggies. My boyfriend and I have a share in a local CSA and go to the farmers' market on a somewhat regular basis; we keep ourselves well-stocked in veggies. I will eat just about any vegetable, and the CSA and farmers' markets have introduced me to some with which I had previously been unfamiliar. I love spinach, Swiss chard, butternut squash, onions and carrots. I have found sun chokes to be quite good; I'd never had them before this year. Potatoes are an old standard; I don't peel them, because the potato skin holds a lot of nutrients. Roasted beets are a sweet delight, and beet greens get added to various dishes. Oh, and snow peas... yum! I boost the health benefits of veggies by adding a variety of herbs and spices. For instance, turmeric has been shown to inhibit certain types of cancer cells as well as prevent and control diabetes.

Yes I agree with that because I know your people are almost vegetarians. Every time I see a bitter gourd I can remember my deceased father. He was the one who taught me how to eat to be nutritious bitter gourd. My father used to grill it and never squeeze it to maintain the bitter. He made it to a salad and we eat together. Here in our place, nowadays, I can't anymore hardly find native bitter gourd due to some cultured varieties in the market. You can only in some secluded markets. I was lucky the other day, I found few but my mother in law cooked it with egg and squeezed it before cooking. I was not really enjoying...thanks for responding.. Mobhomeir here 071812 1104hrs

I really love vegetables. They help you cleanse your body especially your stomach because of the fiber found on them. This might be the reason why most veggie lovers have low risk of cancer because harmful toxins are already flushed out in their body before they are being absorbed by the intestines. They act as broom in our digestive system. Also because of the anti-oxidants they contain, they are really great cancer-fighting foods. I almost eat all veggies except for those I do not know. hehehe Good day

I know I'm supposed to eat them every day, but I'm not too huge on vegetables. I just like really few of them, and I like to eat various tastes, so I usually eat them every 2 or 3 days. I love tomatos, I usually eat them with mozzarella cheese and basil and vinegar in a salad, but I also like them in ham and cheese sandwiches, too. I also eat cucumber in sandwiches, but also as tzatziki or as salad with pepper or even tomatoes. And I love fried aubergines!

Vegetables - Nutritious choice
Yes I believe that health studies so I have made it a daily habit to eat veggies and fruits as well. Bitter gourd is also one of my favorites. I don't squeeze them because that would remove the nutrients. If it is not bitter at all then what is the use of eating bitter gourd? Apart from bitter gourd I also do love lettuce cucumber, bell pepper, green onions, tomatoes and almost all veggies that can be eaten raw. It eaten raw, the more benefits you get.

Unfortunately, I only eat vegetables when I feel like eating them or sometimes not at all. I basically just eat what is served on the table. But I do compensate with exercise and weightlifting, hopefully that is enough, but I would really like to incorporate vegetables into my eating habit/routine.

I make sure that I eat vegetables everyday. When I was young, I only ate squash.. My grandma has to crush it and mix with my rice and I love its color. Until now, I eat squash. I also like bitter gourd or 'ampalaya' in our native language. It tastes good when you cook it with shrimp paste, pork and some spices. It more delicious when it's spicy.
