I was watching TV inside the office that is why I am totally updated last week regarding Dolphy's wake including the issue about National Artist. That is why I was able to hear on the news that just the sign of our President can make Dolphy as National Artist. But good thing about it Pnoy doesn't want to intervene regarding to that matter and it must be go to the process. I totally agree with him if that is the case. I really find it ridiculous that they find it hard to make him as National Artist by the time that Dolphy was still alive but then sounds like just because he already died then they want to make easy as possible so that people will shut their mouth in terms of National Artist issue. I mean it is just my opinion. I already understand the fact that the system works too slow especially for choosing the National Artist.

President Aquino should not interfere in this kind of things, he is a president, not a TV personality or such, Kris Aquino may be his sister but it does not mean it is his business, he should be thinking on ways to improve the current economical status of the Philippines, thus the conflict occurring between China and Philippines. anyway, It's good he does not intervene such things. :)

i agree with you there, but they are using artist to gain votes in the next election next year, bet that china would want to go war so that they can gain more profit in the war money so that they claiming philippines but do not want that to happen though.

I realized that too that maybe there is something to do with elections as well, that as if they are sincere enough to make Dolphy as National Artist. Then why in the first place they didn't make it fast to receive that award. For me it is already late and he is already 83 years old.

I totally sympathize with the people who want to make dolphy a national artist. But as you said, the process takes time. Although it only requires the signature of the president to make it official, the process before it gets to that final stage is a bit of a challenge. people want it fast tracked just of the sake of dolphy, but i don't think it would bring him back to life when they award it to him. thus, people should just have to let the ball roll and take its normal course because we're not talking about any unknown awards here, it's the national artist award. We have to make sure that who ever gets it is deserving. besides, as a filipino saying goes "aanhin pa ang damo, kung patay na ang kabayo" well, i'm not referring to the horse that was suppose to carry dolphy's coffin .

Of course I know what you mean about the horse. As my boyfriend told me he just hope that National Artist award would be given when he was still alive. More so when I've read the requirement for the candidates of National Artist award it is also included that there are benefits when a person awarded this.
In my case when Dolphy will be awarded as National artist or he won't be given then my feelings would be just the same like no reaction or care about it. In the first place I am not his fan but then if he won't be awarded as NA it is because I am reflecting also back that he has lots of achievement, fame and award already.

I haven't heard of this news. But I am glad that Pres.Noynoy made the right decision. If he signed it, I'm pretty much sure, a lot of negative comments will arise. I also believe that the Cuizon family understands his decision. He should not intervene in those kind of issues specially now that there are a lot of more important issues and problems in our country that he should address first.
