I have never had any pet dog or say any pet animal in my house, as mom and dad both did not approve of that. But my closest friend had a female dog name Laila. Laila was very cute and always had a small musical accessory made of small metallic bells tied on her neck. Whenever Laila would make a movement the bells would chime. Earlier I used to be bit afraid of her coming near me, but with time I became friendly with Laila. I have seen that raising a pet animal needs lot of love, compassion and patience. One has to be ready to fulfill all the duties attached to it only then shall you think of bringing a pet to your house. Hope you develop a strong bonding with your pet dog.

Animals are very sensitive. They cannot express their emotions with words, but they do convey their feelings with other signs, like a dog would wag its tail, lick your face, follow you, jump on your knees and roll over you.

I'm alone most of the time now, too. Being eight months pregnant, I'm pretty much home-bound this summer. Not much I can really do as far as trips and fun things. So, I hang around the house with my cat. Cats can be good companions when you're really upset, but dogs are so much better in general.
We're currently taking care of a friends pitt bull, and I go into the back yard and sit and talk to him, pet him, and play fetch. He's a sweet dog, and a good companion.

Yes. That's a good idea. There is no question that dog is man's best friend. We have three dogs. I always give them a bath whenever I have time. They love it. They're so happy whenever they see me coming. I seldom visit them, once a month, sometimes, once every two or three months. I always miss them. I am also sad whenever I'm not at home because my parents don't take care of them well.
