need help with my laptop

i have a problem starting up my laptop, it boots then loads then boots again its a never ending loop. i cant reformat it either because it stops in the middle of the process . . . i have it 4 years now its a compaq presario, its a litte old but it can still be a big help for me if i get it fixed . . . i havent tried asking a technician to check it yet, maybe when i have a little idea of what really is the problem and thats where i need your help guys . . . and my problem started last night.

Its RAM failure, you need to replace your memory card/bank, if it has two memory then one is heating up during booting so it needs to be remove.

and about that, my laptop gets so hot on its leftside like i need a fan facing there everytime i use it because it suddenly shuts down when it gets too hot. and thanks for the info . . .
