Just a quick question – do set-up or installation (ones that have a .exe extension) also eat disk space? I kinda went into a downloading application mode when I needed some much needed software. I just want tot known if they also kinda don’t erase in my registry or still occupies space in my computer memory.
Most of the time, I just erase them from my download page but I don’t know if they still exist somewhere in my computer.

Those exe? files you downloaded before you install them? If you deleted those exe, just look at your recycling bin to remove them.

I agree with mrfdg. Everything in your computer takes up space. Even the files that have already been removed from the recycle Bin.
