Fruits/Vegetables Costume

Hello Mylotters! I need help. It's Nutrition Month and my 5 year old daughter needs a fruit or vegetable costume. I don't wanna spend too much money since it's just goping to be a 3-hour celebration. Last year, she was a carrot. My mom bought her a cheap carrot costume that looked like a carrot-shaped apron with strings that you can tie around the waist. It looked ok but it didn't really look that nice. Any ideas on how to make your own fruit/vegetable costume? Any help/suggestion would be very much appreciated.

Hmm. How about going as a leek? If you have some green shorts/pants lying around and a shirt she could wear, maybe some green shoes too, and if her skin isn't allergic to facepaint, you can paint her face to look like the top part of the leek. :) Facepaint goes a long way for a costume if it is a viable option for you.

That could work I think, if it's not hot here. The face paint might melt down if she sweats since it's too hot here right now. Thanks for trying to suggest. I appreciate it.

I think it is interesting coz i remember when i was a child.I had a banana consume and it's interesting that other child like that and wants to be friends with you.For me,being happy and got the support from my parents is the most imporant.lol,i had great time that moment.

How about a bunch of grapes,,get yourself a some either blue or
yellow ballons for the body and some green felt material and use
your mommy skills for the stem..attach the many ballons to a
T-shirt thats to big for her..

Some artist shops are offering this kind of service for a low price I think. They are using some thin foam designed to any kind of fruit that you want and spray paint for the color.

That is so cute! you can get a strawberry dress a red redband with maybe a cute strawberry on it and you can draw strawberries on a pair of red shoes.It is a cute idea and it can double as a regular outfit too. You can think of extra things to make her outfit look more realistic.Happy mylotting!

I have an idea. How about dressing her like the goddess of agriculture? A plain white dress matched with a crown made of wheat stalk or something. place several fruits or vegetables or the dried one as accessories like ring, bracelet or necklace. anything you can get from your kitchen.
