What Is Something You Have Ruined By Not Thinking?

I like most people have ruined a few things in my life by not thinking or by a stupid accident. When my husband and I first got married my parents decided they were ready for a change in their dining room so they offered their beautiful cherry wood dining set to my husband and I. I had always loved that set so I was thrilled to get it. Not even 6 months after we moved in to our first home and had the dining set in place (we lived in a small town house so the dining table was also our kitchen tables as there was not space for both), I broke a Nick knack, and I was so concerned about the Nick Knack I got out the super glue and glued it back together, of course the surface I did it on was the cherry dining table. I did not cover it or anything and did not check after I glued the Nick Knack, I just left it there to dry. Well the apparently some of the glue had seeped out and I actually had glued the Nick Knack to the table. There was no way to get it off without pulling some of the wood finish off the cherry table, I was so mad at myself, my husband was mad at me and my parents were too. Please share one of your disaster stories with me.

I did similar to a walnut gate legged table when I was first married. We had guests and their children spilled a glass of water on the table and table cloth. When they left, the table had that white cloudy place from the water. I grabbed the Pledge to spray it and try to bring back the finish--except it was oven cleaner. Not good for the table at all.

Both products had bright yellow lids and they were stored next to each other, and I was really tired. I refinished it later.

Not really. The only times that has happened to me are in stupid little things like in a computer game, or something minor like that. LOL Nothing that ever cost me money, or with the house. I have always been rather cautious, and this has served me extremely well.

You know I am really careful and there are few things I have ruined. I once threw one of my son's wooden derby cars and it broke I felt so horrible over it, that it still bothers me to this day. I also broke my husband rubix cube, the one that is a flat and you fold all different ways back when we first got together. I have since replaced the rubix cube thing and swore not to touch it. I touched it and I think I ruined it again. Boy are those things hard to learn how to do.

I cherish my own stuff. I want to keep my trash can clean,so that I don't use it very much. People at work notice that, they put little dust in it.I found out the next Morning. They always do such thing like that. I didn't say anything. No need to get mad. From then on,I just put all the dust after sweeping the floor into the trash can.
