I'd like to apologise in advance if I'm doing anything wrong, I'm new to myLot as of the last half an hour lol.. But! The person I admired most in my life would have to of been my uncle. My mothers brother, was never around very much. Even though he wasn't around much, I still looked up to him the most. He was in the military his whole life. He joined cadets at a young age and continued straight on with the Army. During many years of his life, he served as a firefighter, ambulance driver, paramedic and engineer. He's constantly working and is stationed in Ottawa and he travels a lot so he's a very busy man but still knows how to have fun. He'd visit every year, usually twice and whenever he was home, he brought the whole family together. He always treated me very good, and spoiled everyone. But in the time we'd spend together, I'd learn so much about his life and he showed me that hard work does really pay off. I always wanted to be like him and follow in his footsteps. He doesn't have a wife or kids at the moment and he's near 40 now. He's waiting until he retires (he retires early due to the amount of years he served and other things) so he can be there to spend time with his family. I was never sure on what I thought of it. Obviously it's good he wants to be there for his family because at this point he's working all the time but I never decided my thoughts on that, although as long as he's happy is the main thing! I'm rambling now, but the point is, he always taught me to be an honest, respectful, hardworking woman and to never give up on your dreams. To be happy to give not to recieve and to help when you can. He is always so close to our hearts and means the world. We're always worried and thinking about him but the time we do spend with him makes it more special.
Who was the person or persons that you admired most!

Also my grandmother. My grandmother raised me as a child, I consider her more of a mother than my real mom. My grandma always just lived right up the road from me and I'd always bike up to see her everyday because I've wanted to live with her so bad since I was about 7 years old. I'd spend weekends at her house baking, cleaning and just doing everything I could to spend time with her and my grandfather. My grandfather being gone now, and my great-grandmother living with my grandmother, she's got a lot to take care of (taking care of my great-grandmother especially). She was on her own for the longest time and I'd have to say my grandmother is the most hardworking, dedicated, loving, trustworthy, honest and easiest woman to get along with in my life. She means the world to me and I don't know what I would've done without her. She's helped me through so many things, she'd drop everything for me in a second if I needed her to and I just wish I could repay her for everything. She is the only one in my family that I was ever really close with, the only one I felt like I could go to with any problems or just to talk and who really understood me and I'm so thankful for having her as part of my life. I think everyone should have someone like that in their lives. A special person who they love that is there for them no matter what. -I believe grandmothers are a very important part of the family, even just walking into their homes makes you feel 'at home'.
