I've been using yahoo for as long as I can remember. I think it's a very easy way to send emails and chat and all those stuff. Recently however, most of my friends have switched to other mailing sites like hotmail because they had some problems with yahoo; one of my friend even lost her yahoo account because of a problem. So, I was thinking should I switch to hotmail? Or would it help if I linked my yahoo to hotmail? Please leave suggestions to what might be the best step to take.

Hi friend, i am using yahoo for years without any problems, if you planned to switch your email provider, select gmail, it is having lot of benefits and most of the persons are interested in creating their mail id with gmail, now a days it is really hard to see a hotmail id, most of the people are switched too gmail

I though we're the only ones who are having these problems. My husband's yahoo was almost, or actually hacked. While he was logged on his YM, he was suddenly booted out from it with a prompt that he signed on from another device. He logged on again and checked the last log in and it was from a country that we've never even set foot into! He's got to change his password and from then on continuously check his account for anymore malicious activity.
In my case, I received an email from our former professor asking for some money because it said that he is in Spain and requires some cash to get out of trouble. This is odd because he signed it as Maureen when in fact he's a guy. We tried to warn him about it; we just hope nobody actually fell for it.
So yeah, I guess with all the incidences I've been hearing, yahoo seems to have an easily-penetrable security.

I'm so sorry for what happened. Maybe you could switch to hotmail or gmail or another mailing site. But I also think that you can upgrade your yahoo. I do it often and I think it helps the security and stuff. Just saying. Hope everything is okay for you guys now.

You should have another mailing account that you can use for very important matters like your paypal account. I used gmail and upgraded security level to 2. I think gmail is really very secure. You can still use different mailing account for some things which is not really important like those website which is not too good. Like me, I use gmail with websites which is really good and mylot is one of those site I trust and sites which do not sent you lots of mails.
