I am not big on music. But, its amazing how unconsciously, music helps me get through an anything I do with ease.
When I was still studying, I could retain more if I play music while I review for an exam.
Now, that I have a newborn in the house, I play music while I carry the baby to sleep, and it somehow takes my focus away from feeling sore on my neck and shoulders and arms. Its really soothing both for me and the baby.
And, right now, while Im myLotting, even on wee hours of the night, ideas seem to flow smoothly, as I play music in the background. I could sing to it while Im writing something.
When Im so pissed, and I turn some music on, it really does the magic of calming me and then Im back to my senses.
It doesn't matter what songs are playing. I don't even know most of those in the playlist, but as long as its not hard rock noise, it really helps bring out the best in me.

I do like to listen to music when I am busy typing stuff on the computer. I think it really is a nice way to relax and chill out when I am having a stressful day. Because I really like to listen to some of my favorite songs on my computer. There have been some university studies done on the brain that music and songs do really soothe the minds.

They're right about that. Any type of music.
Even for babies, music is a therapy, and it doesn't matter what type it is. I think its the rhythm.

I can relate to that. Lots of people wear their headphones while going out on the bus, or walking down the street. Before I moved out of the city, I would always do this it calms me I like to listen to playlists or podcasts -- its more about the noise for a calming effect but comedy helps. I have OCD and going out to the grocery store on the bus, the one that is notoriously crowded in this city, is very stressful. But thinking of it now thats one thing I enjoyed most is taking transit all over with my ipod plugged in, it allowed me to see the city.

Oh, I wouldn't want to put on a headphones while crossing the street. It's just like using the phone while driving. Its hazardous.
I do like to listen to music while riding a long bus trip, or on a boat/ferry. We would also play some music in the car while on our way to and fro.

Hi jureathome, i have many songs and music in my playlist, most of the time i will be listening to my wishlist and do work. I too didn't like hard rock music, i like something smooth, gentle and instrumental music. Sometimes i like to hear some classic songs/music depends on my mood.

good to see about your selection and favorite moods, whereas my mood is in complete contrast and different taste from yours.i always like hard rock and jazz beat fusion mix to the core since it helps me get the adrenaline rush and pumping.whereas the slow songs will be nice to hear with melody tunes.but as a matter of fact ,it will take me into sober and sleepy mode.
So i normally put full volume and live in the music and rock music in my playlist.
Maybe you should try listening to those songs at once and see if it provides more benefits.
The music has played an important role in your exam life.that is fantastic
