excessive palm perspiration

i'v been so annoyed and embarrassed with the way my palms perspire. i have been suffering from this since i was a grade schooler. imagine how my paper gets wet when i am writing!? i must always have a hanky to put under my right hand so as to avoid the paper from getting wet and ripped. when i attend our sunday mass, i don't get used to hold hands with the people next to me during the singing of "our father", i'm so afraid to let them know how wet my palms are. when a guy tries to court me, i see to it that he knows about it; he is free to go when it turns him off but it would be a point for him if he finds it acceptable. and when i need to shake hands with someone? i do really have to wipe my hand first before i could give him a handshake. i know i appear funny, but that's really a serious thing i need to deal with. having this defect of mine is very irritating, annoying and embarrassing. but i tried not to look at that way, i know there is still something that i should be grateful for despite my condition. having both hands with complete set of fingers would be enough to make me feel blessed and luckier than those of people with no hands at all.

Hi mylzcantor08, What you have is a condition called hyperhidrosis which is a medical condition in which a person sweat excessively and unpredictably. Have you tried over the counter antiperspirants? Or perhaps you could see a doctor to get a stronger prescription antiperspirant if over the counter ones don't work. There are other treatment options which the doctor may recommend like surgery which I think would be a last resort. However, if you could live with it I guess so much the better. Have a nice day.

I have the same situation not only in hands/palms but the whole body, I really sweat a lot especially during hot weather or whenever I feel tensed. Back to your palms, I guess there are already treatments on that conditions but I know it will really cost much. I know that there are lot of alternatives too for that condition. What is important, like what you said, you must be happy to have those hands rather than having no perspiring hands at all.

I don't think I have it as excessive as you do but when I used to play tennis after a while I'd have trouble holding my racquet because of the sweaty palms and I'd always hope it wouldn't slip out of my hands! Other occasons when it's hot I can get it too. But I don't always get it because my hands can be pretty cold a lot of the time, it's like I'm cold blooded or something or maybe just bad blood circulation. I'm not sure what to say that could help you with your situation but surely there has to be something to help

When I was in elementary years I also experience having an excessive palm perspiration but lucky I am now because it stops already.I didn't do anything with that but it's about with our hormonal glands that produces sweats or even tears in our body. I agree when you said that you are still lucky because others are suffering excessive perspiration in their private parts like underarms.
