Dear friends, who knows well about Elance. I failed in my attempt to verify my phone number. I heard the calling, then i press the "#"button as the website tells and then read clearly the code number on my computer screen, but the robot in the phone says what i says doesn't match with the code number.
Do we need to press other keys to send out the code number? Or did i press the "#"button too early?
I have also tried to type the code number with my mobile phone keypad in the second attempt, but it failed again.

Yes, I have tried it as well and couldn't get past through the verification so I stopped using it because it was too complicated. They even require a digital copy of your personal ID, right?
It was quite a hassle so I stopped trying after 3 consecutive days of trying to know success.

Well, i saw many others say it is pretty easy. And i read the guideline carefully i think it is just read out the code numbers.
Well, the digital copy of your personal ID is used for location verification. In fact, in this process, i have be very success. It seems we need to verify both our location and phone number then we can begin our work in this site.

I have had the same problem, but I can get my phone number verified at last by doing the following steps:
1. When you receive an automated call from Elance, just press the answer/accept button to answer the call.
2. Then you'll hear the bot says, "Thank you.........", now press # on your phone keypad.
3. Just wait until the bot asks you to speak or enter the confirmation code, now you can use your keypad to enter the numbers that are displayed on your computer screen.
Then the bot will say that your phone number has been verified. That's all about it!
