Following through on Health/Fitness Goals

I say on almost a daily basis "Today (or Tomorrow) I am going to start going to the gym and eating right." However, I never follow through and when I do, it only lasts for a couple of days before I revert to my old unhealthy and sedentary habits. Out of everyone in my family, I am the only one who is not obese, but I am still out of shape and do not eat enough fruits and vegetables each day. In the past, I have found it very frustrating that my family has not been supportive of my goals and have tempted me by loading my food pantry with sugary or fatting snacks.
Until a few years ago, my fast metabolism was sufficient enough for me to maintain a low weight. However, since then, I have struggled to lose weight and keep it off. I will frequently lose 10 lbs very quickly, but then gain it back a few weeks later.
How have you turned exercising/eating healthy into a habit? What motivates you to continue doing so each day?

Well i really liked your post.
Yeah first of all i would like to say that in order to live a healthy stressful life we need to first chalk out a scheduled plan according to which we have to follow it strictly. It is by this that a person would be inspired to follow the exercises or a balanced diet on a regular basis that soon transforms into a daily habit. And if it shows up great results then it automatically motivates you to continue it as long you are comfortable doing it.
What say?
