tablet computers has now a dramatic rise in the market and I think it has the same features with laptops and notebooks. So I was planning to buy laptop but I guess I'm now having a second thought if I should buy a laptop or a tablet computer because I think tablet is more convenient, light to carry but still functional but I'm having worries on the repairs because its new. What do you think is best?

I have a tablet, and I like it, it does what I need it to. If you want it to completely replace a laptop then you need to buy one that's more expensive and will do the job. As for repairs, someone knows how to, and if not you can send it back to the manufacturer provided it's still under warranty.

I don't think that tablets can replace computers. As of now that is. First, you can play games in a tablet, but not all games that are playable in a laptop has a counterpart in a tablet, example: warcraft/DOTA. Second, tablet has a wide range of office tools, but it won't match its laptop counterparts. Most of the time they only have the basic functionality. But if you just want to browse the net then both laptop and tablets can do it. It really depends on what you will be using it for.

As far as i think there is no more difference in laptop and table PCs if looking at the internal hardware and peripherals.
The difference remains in their input method, batter life, storage capacity, performance, software etc...(http://compreviews.about.com/od/buyers/a/Tablets-vs-Laptops.htm). So, a person who easily repairs laptops can repair tablet. But nevertheless take first step to buy from authorized dealer because it would be better to go to get more rely. I would like to recommend you to buy tablet because it is comparatively highly portable, more functional, less Cumbersome, better battery life than laptops.

If you're only concern in buying tablets is the repairs, then just be sure to procure you tablet from authorized dealers who really deal with the real thing. Chances of the tablet being subject for repair early is minimum. And if it should happen, then you'll be assured of warranty against defects since you got it from a genuine dealer.
I have a tablet and I'm liking it, been using it for 10 months now and I even myLot on it, just like now haha.
