What is your favorite flower and Why?

the only flower that can made me melt is red roses...i've received blue,green,yellow,pink, violet but none can beat red roses. It's so romantic

I love gerbera daisies they are my tied for all time favorites. They are tied with hyacynths. I love the fragrance of hyascynths so much. Of course I know it is spring time/easter time when they are around. they have a lovely fragrance. I also love roses, and lillies. I love the sweet fragrance of jasmine with thier delicate white blooms. We have jasmine growing on one of our trees and when it is in bloom the whole yard is perfumed with its sweet delicate scent.

Sunflowers are neat, they have the ability to follow the sun throughout the sky when they are young. Sunflowers produce food with their seeds, their pith can float, their oil can be used for cooking, at one time Russia tried to breed high oil content and were looking at using them as fuel oil. They can be composted. The petals make a great dye. Roses are used in Middle Eastern cooking in some recipes. The flavoring is light and much like our vanilla. They have been bred to have such a variety of colors, they are magnificient, but only for a very few days (at least mine are three day wonders!). I like sunflowers and daisy's because they seem like such a happy flower . Orchids of course because of their exotic beauty . Pale purple roses and deep purple ones also known as a the dark beauty . I like them because of the almost magical ambience of them . They are just lovely to look at .

My favorite flowers are rose and jasmine. My husband presents me roses once in a while. i like it. Somtimes I buy roses and keep it on my hair, which is fashion in my part of country. I also like to keep jasmine of hair, it gives me a fresh feeling and the smell of jasmine is very good. I feel I like good with jasmine on may hair, as a typical south Indian girl.

There are so many flowers to choose from. Each flower I have seen brings me joy for different reasons. Roses are beautiful with their soft petals and their heady fragrance. Lilacs have such beautiful colors, their sweet nectar and their fragrance. Lilies, simply beautiful, many varieties, and are easy to grow. Sunflowers are bright and bold and render a delectable snack at the end of the season. Bee Balm is wonderful to add color and scent to a garden. Often times I will stop by and run my hand over the bloom and leaves to release the scent. This is true too with lavendar. There are too many to list, and all are my favorites.
