As much as possible we keep on saying that everything will be fine as long as you have a money. It is like this, some people do not look at what other felt and what other people need as long as what they need and they get what they have because they have their money. But behind that they cannot feel the real meaning of happiness. Happiness is when you are with your family. Your money cannot do anything if your are away from your family, if you are not in good terms with your family and if you have conflict in family because of money. Let us remember to be happy from small and simple things! Keep on smiling!!! be happy!

I will not completely agree with that. Money gives major part of your happiness. With so much of technology growing you can nearly make every bit of your life very luxurious. I agree that at some point money also won't help but then it has been with you for major part. The only thing you need to know to make yourself happy is the reason behind you getting sad. once you know the reason I am sure money will help you getting out in some or the other way. Just blindly accepting that money cannot make us happy is foolishness. Though not 100 %, but it gives you enough reason to be happy, still if you are sad sticking to a single reason, money should not be blamed.

I agree that money can never buy happiness; but it sure can buy the things that we need to sustain our happiness. It can buy food, clothing, shelter, good education and the best healthcare for our family. It can buy a very good and relaxing vacation with our loved one. It can buy the service of hired help so you can spend some time with your loved one without bothering for the household chores. It can buy everything that is buyable to provide an honest and healthy living for our family. And if our family is well taken-cared of, we are very happy, right?
I am not saying that money should take precedence above what really makes us happy. What I'm driving at here is that money is important, but it isn't everything.

It helps to have enough money.I don't think having a lot of money is a passport to happiness.Having your health and having good friends, family ect.Going for a walk makes me happy ,seeing the birds feeding in the garden. It is quite often the simple things that don't cost a penny makes me contented and happy.

hi there gerlieann,
honestly speaking, money cannot really buy happiness. but on my part here, i will not be appreciate by my family if i will not lend a money for them. especially my mom, that she always teases me to shell out something. so, i am not sure anymore if i will still feel happy living with my family. hence, my mom does not appreciate the effort that i am doing. that i even do a career redirection to be with them but she always pushes me to look back again to my previous job since i was earning much during those times.

Money do buy transient happiness that is sharply short-lived. But happiness is a virtue that one will have to be pre-determined and program himself to be in and he see himself having good fortune turning more to him. People that trample on others happiness just to be happy only will surely have their happiness cut short.

I agree that real happiness has nothing to do with money & everything to do with family, friends & health.
Yet, I read a research not that while ago (we aren't allowed to link to this site) that after a long research scientists reached the conclusion that "money can buy you happiness" (I think it was also the headline of the article).

Money is definitely not the reason to be happy. Yes, when we have money we can buy things, we can buy food, but definitely cannot buy happiness. As what people say, money can buy a bed but not sleep. Money can buy a house but not a home. True indeed, happiness can be found in simple things like spending time with the family and enjoying life with our love ones.

I agree with you.Money can't make you happy. You can buy food with your money, but not hunger. You can buy bed and cushions with money, but not sleep.Happiness generates from within your heart. And happiness is an independent feeling. You are right that living with family makes us happy. You never feel insecure there. But I know some unfortunate people who live with their family, but are not happy, because their family members are hostile to them. However you are absolutely right when you say living with family makes one happy.

I think being with our family makes us happy. But, not all people feel the same way as we do. Their standard for happiness is a different one. They thought money is everything. We need money, of course, but not to the point of making it as the sole measurement of happiness.
Let's continue to be happy!
