12 Dead many injured and all while watching a movie

I just woke up to this and was blown away. What kind of sicko goes to a movie theater and opens fire? Well this guy did just that in a town where I am from. It was the premier of the Dark Knight, they do midnight viewings of the big movies the day the movie opens so that people can see it just a few hours early compared to the normal viewing times. This guy came into the theater about 20 minutes into the movie threw a some king of gas grenade into the theater then started to shoot. What the heck is wrong with people that they have to do this. As I read this article I was in a state of shock as I was going to take my daughter to see the movie in our local theater and was just as shocked to see about an hour into the movie in my town the theater was surrounded by police and fire trucks not sure if they showed up because of what was happening in Aurora or cause of our own issues, and I cant find anything about it on our local news. I think that there are more sick people out there in this day and age then there were before, kinda makes you wonder whats wrong with our world that people like this are coming out of the woodwork like mad.

My heart goes out to your town and its people--I hope you did not lose anyone you know personally. I can't even imagine what it must be like to be living so close to where this happened. I suppose it is similar to what those of us living and working in or near NYC went through on 9/11, but this attack on the movie theater seems to be even more pointless, if that is possible.

Thank you for the thoughts it means a lot as for me I am so thankful that not one of my loved ones was at that theater thank goodness I would be a basket case if that was the case. I think that if that wacko had hurt my family that there would be no place that he would be safe. I just dont understand the thinking when things like this happen its just beyond me.

i think the guys has a problem with people that watches dark knight movies. it think that this isn't random considering that the guy has some gas grenade. meaning there was some kind of preparation prior to the ambush.

Oh he had been planning it for months no doubt about it. I mean he has more weapons and ammo than any normal person has, not to mention his armor and the other things he had. I think when this is all said and done we will have more questions than he is willing to answer.

I saw this at about 4:30 my time this morning just after it happened. It had to be very scary for the people in the theater as well as the one beside it because bullets were going through the walls. At first they thought there was two shooters and they were checking out the Mall at that hour. One report I read said the shooter had his hair painted red. I understand that the police and firemen will ramped up at most of the viewing because of this shooting and that the film has been canceled in Paris. Fox news has been on this most of the day.. .

I wanted to take my daughter to the midnight viewing but was running late getting home from work so we skipped it now we think that we will wait for it to come out on dvd. Not worth risking my life to just see a movie.
As for the crazies here in Colorado we can for sure send some your way share our wealth so to speak. I am tired of them all seeming to end up here lol.
