Hi friends, for our Muslim mylotters Ramadan starts today. I just wanted to wish all of you who stick to the fasting a blessed month. I am sure God will reward you for this sacrifice of not eating and drinking in daytime (its summertime so its quite warm here........) and also purifying your thoughts. Let me just tell you that I admire you for this.

hi hsofyan, looking at your profile I see you are in Indonesia. I bet its much warmer where you are than here, so its even more of a challenge than its in my homecountry. Hope you make it safely through Ramadan healthwise. My contribution to Ramadan as a Christian is I do my best not to eat and drink in front of Muslims over daytime.

Commendable attitudes you have toward others. I also have a couple of co-workers here who observe Ramadan. Although they insist that it is perfectly all right, I try to respect them by not eating or drinking at their presence.

oh samar you are in Egypt so thats also really a challenge in that hot weather. Our former Neighbours are Muslims, didnt know for a while. They own a restaurant. I told my husband yes we can go during Ramadan but only when its dark. I dont want them to prepare food and not be able to eat and drink themselves. Thats too much of a challenge.

That whole Ramadan thing is quite interesting. Drinking only a liquid for the whole time. I don't think I could do it and hope that what ever they do it for as long as it is nice happens.

they are allowed to drink a special liquid and that is it at least from what I have been told.
