Yesterday, I downloaded an interesting application for my android. It can convert the text into voice and I can easily listen the content of my text messages! I am using it just for fun, but it must be very convenient for people that want to read a message while driving and when they need their full attention on the road. Since there is an app for everything, I was wondering if there are any similar Free applications that can type when I talk and convert it to text! It would be nice to have my voice translated into text without having to type it!

Actually, if you are a blogger or an article writer, or even writing here on mylot. That application is a great money making tool, and it will triple your work rate because you don't need to type, all you need is to dictate. It will speed up whatever you want to write, I have that kind of application in my computer. After I've dictated my blog, I copy paste it on my website, however, I still prefer typing my blogs and articles.

It sounds very useful for you! I am going to try it and see if it works for me as well! I think I am better when I express my thoughts through typing than talking to the app! But I'd like to give it a try, which app are you using for that purpose?

This is really a good topic. I didn't realise this useful function in my cellphone until I saw your discussion. My mobile phone is Sansung Galaxy Nexus with Android operation system in it. And it is availbale to transfer text messages to voice messages using my Galaxy Nexus.

Thanks :)) Which app are you using? I have the Samsung Galaxy Mini with android, I found this application that converts texts to voice but I was looking for the opposite, I want to speak and the phone to type it in a text! My friend's iphone had both apps pre-installed in the device when she bought it!

My Android 4 and my husband's Moto Droid come equipped to do that. When you pull up the onscreen keyboard there is a little microphone.

I haven't use this app on my computer yet but I've been told that it's very useful! I couldn't find a similar app for my smartphone that works and is free. My friend has an iphone and it's pre-installed in the phone so she can use it any time she wants!
