Hi guys! Hubby and I we're living with his family (father, mother and his 2 sisters) so the thing is, hubby's planning to buy a car for me to use and he even tells me that I should lend her elder sister when I already have a car. My eyebrows raised when I heard that and I'm kinda having second thoughts when he said that, because for me, a car is like one of your sacred thing that you shouldn't let others use it but he told me that he knew his sister well and that his sister would use the car rarely. It's not that I don't trust her sister, it's just that when someone uses my belongings I used to get worried mos of the time.
How about you guys? would you let someone use your car? care to give me some suggestions or advices?

It would really be uncomfortable to lend our car to other people, especially if its brand new. My husband takes care of the car very well, and he would not let anyone touch the wheels. I mean, its a big investment, and its no joke paying for it and other people won't realize that and may not take caution in using it. Especially, in our country, where roads are very bad.

I guess in this discussion I will have 3 answers, One is YES,only if that particular person is somewhat close to me such as my relatives, and knows how to take care of a certain property. Second, would be Maybe, if I have doubts on their ability of take care of it, or will they handle it just like their own, and Lastly, NO, specially if that person has a history of wreckless driving. That's it..:)

rhane a car that belongs to you is a maj or investment. I wo uld ply let his elder sister drive it if one. she is a good safe driver.2. she has good car insurance=, not to could I s uppose

If someone needed it I would let them use my car as long as they pazid for themselves to be insured. I wouldnt let just anyone use it, but family is different. Shes still your sister-in-law and if you live with her things might get awkward if you say no anyway.

I would of course lend my car to my near ones as they would use it with care but not always. Even if someone is in emergency I would gladly give my car.
