Want to know self employed

I would rather be in self-employed than working for somebody else. Yesterday I went to interview for a job in an accountancy firm, I have no knowledge in accounts but the manager said she will train me, I feel owed to her and happy at the same time, but later in our conversation, she spoke non stop, I can't even express my opinion on the topic we were having, its like a machine talking non stop, I think she is very nagging if I were to work with her, more over I will be the only one in the office, she is out often, so I will be alone doing things, that will be fine for me, but not if she is at the office, she will be very nagging, I turn down the offer today, saying I got a better prospect. The reason all people work in self employed category is they don't feel comfortable working for someone else. And I decide to be free from someone else from now on, and I will be starting to search for self-employed ways. If you know ways to be self employed, feel free to post it here.

I respect your views. Working under someone may sometimes be really hectic and frustrating. As you explained your experience i can understand why you and some other prefer to have their own business howsoever small it is. One more reason I found people preferring self employment was contentment. They feel highly satisfied in saying themselves every night, whatever it is, it belongs to me. I am not yet employed, I will be pursuing my graduation. But I like listening to people and their experiences as I went through yours'. I feel it will really help me take some vital decisions of my life. Thank you for sharing your words.

IF I have the option I would rather be self employed . I understand what you mean some manager feel their way is always right and dont valid new/younger employee input . Well on the positive side at least you wont have her full time nagging you ... I dont feel comfortable working for anyone , When I save up enough money I will not work for anyone . First thing you need to seek out is your passion/skill , where you want to start business and what is in demand in that area . Also do your own survey and research . Hope this help

Yep, working for yourself is better, I like being able to manage my own things and be responsible for it, if you working for somebody you have to face your employer all the time. That is why I choose flexible job.

It is really unbearable to work someone who nags a lot while working. If possible, I would rather look for another job, but it is not that easy to be self-employed with so many factors to be considered like money to start a business and many others. If all those are mature, it is time to start self-employed. Anyways, good luck to you.

Most of the job need some capital to start with. Plus you need the skill or something that you are knowledgeable with. If you don't have one you may need to learn the skill or just go for ready made product. But all this need capital. I think you should concern about it. If you have those than you can start it right away.(^^)

I just want to comment regarding this matter. Although its a bit old but I wanted my reply to be meaningful. yes.. that's true...I pursued working online coz I don't like to deal those people who really nagged at you without any relevant words to the subject. And I don't like to see other people being humiliated coz I believe every person either your rich or poor should be treated fairly. I am glad I am working online although its hard online but I manage myself and only me and my employer. It's a less stress. while working online I do have some investments and other things to have some sidelines. I'm longing for a business someday so that i can have time for everything.

Being an entrepreneur is good. You are your boss. Employees asked for the work of others. Entrepreneur gives the job to others. I think, starting entrepreneur is to know your talents, your interests and market opportunities.

You have to create your own business. It can online or offline. What are your interests? What do you like selling? Focus on your interests and you will enjoy your business. What you need is an idea first and go ahead and plan a business.
