I have had a headache for several days now. Not a migraine like I sometimes get, so I do not want to take medicine for it and build up an immunity for the times I really need it. At first, I thought it was dehydration, and drank a bunch of water, that did not work. I tried getting some extra sleep, but that did not work either. If I was stressed out and overwhelmed, I would find a way to relax, but I am not stressed right now. Any natural remedies that you know about that I could try.

Get your blood pressure checked. High blood pressure can cause headaches in some people.

I actually found out what was triggering them, chlorine. I am a swim instructor, and I also vacuum the pool twice a week. The chlorine was high, and it is an inclosed room. Now that I have been away from the pool for three days, it has been gone. I called my boss to see what the levels were, and they were much lower than the last two weeks, and they had the side door open to get some of the chemical smell out.

I would try mega doses of calcium because calcium is a natural tranquilizer and pain reliever. It might be that your body is screaming for minerals, including calcium.

I guess I will try a multivitamin, with an extra calcium and see if that works. I tend to eat pretty healthy and rarely take additional vitamins.

I think what you have are migraine headaches which can be quite severe. Migraines are usually triggered by stress and pain killers such as paracetamol or ponstan do not work. The best cure is to destress yourself. Whenever I get such headaches I will go for a brisk walk and try to relax and clear my mind. All of a sudden the pain will just be gone. That's my experience. You should experiment to see what works for you. Take care.

I think you should sleep for some time otherwise take the tea because if the person has habit to take tea and they not take then headache problem may arise. I think you should consult with Dr.

First, try to drink bottled water. Their might be some chemicals leeched into your water supply that is giving you headaches. Next, see how much wheat you are eating. If you are overeating wheat, then please slow down or stop, it does not matter if the wheat is whole or not, many people, including myself can get headaches from too much wheat. Next, what I do when I have a headache, is to put 1/2 teaspoon or more Cayenne pepper in water and drink it, for me it must widen the bloodvessels because I can actually feel much better and have no headache at all. Hope some of this helps. But instead of seeing what you need to take to stop the headache, first see what you might be eating that is giving you the headache. do food elimination.

Every time I have a headache , I find something cold from our ref (perhaps cold water in a plastic bag or stringed veggies) and placed it in my forehead. And at the same time, a piece of cloth dipped in hot water on my feet, and presto, my headache is gone in 10 minutes. Try it, might work for you too. Good luck.

Accompanying symptoms may include tenderness in the scalp, neck, and shoulders, fatigue, irritability, and difficulty sleeping. Do you Experience all these? Here are some homebodies i know; The first home remedy for tension headache involves breathing. This works best right when you feel a headache coming on. Stretch. Stretching the muscles of the neck and upper back can quickly lessen a headache, or avoid one. Massage. Another excellent home remedy for tension headache. Exercise! I know, I know, this is getting a little intense. I'm not suggesting you start an exercise routine. You want instant relief, right? You want a home remedy for tension headache? I think more than a rest you should relax your self. Try to divert your attention into something so you don't think about your headache. It is much better if you stay with happy people because as the sayings go, "laughter is the best medicine." This is true, laughing releases "feel-good brain chemicals" that help relieve pain. This chemical is known as endorphin. So the best natural way to relieve pain caused by headache is to stay happy, relax and as much as possible laugh with people around you.

It could be that your neck is out of place. I find I get more headaches and am very tired when my neck is out and I see a chiropractor every few months. But a natural solution to help you is chamomile tea. They say that having a cup when you feel the headache coming on will make it go away so you could give that a try next time and see if it works out for you

Headaches for several days? It might be something else, you should consider consulting your doctor. Anyway I heard from my Aunt that coconut drink has some effect on relieving migraine, says it works on her. Maybe you should try it out, give it a go. Besides, coconut drinks are delicious!
