Experiences with Dell Laptops

What has your experience been with Dell Laptops? I've had three different brands of laptops. Compaq, Gateway, and now a Dell. The touchpad wentup on the Compaq within a year. The Gateway still works fine after ten years except i have to plug a keyboard into it (don't spill water in laptops). The Dell on the otherhand I have had less than two years and The screen has gone up on it already.
