The TYPHOON FERDIE today makes me remember the ONDOY days

I've observed that today it is Saturday morning and the rain is too heavy yet non stop. Then there is flood outside our house and very gloomy day. It makes me remember the Ondoy days but the difference is just the date and year. It was also Saturday morning when that typhoon happened. Good thing about it I have no work for today and it is my alternate day of Saturday that I don't have work. I mean I have work during Saturday but it is alternate, meaning on next week I have Saturday work. Hoping that there would be no people who will be put in harm.

I came to share my experience here so i would like you to know that if you are afraid of some flooding or flash flood, then its not going to happen, one reason though is, that our soil is not that saturated yet, it takes months of rain before it stops sipping rain water then flooding comes in, and another is a flooding rain is preceded with a high rise in temperature, it usually get hot before a big storm is coming.

Wow that is great knowledge about the rain and also the cause of flood. But of course I am also sure that another cause of flood are the trashes that we can see everywhere.

Ohh yes indeed, these unwitting garbage disposal will attribute to more flooding by clogging our drainage system.

I just hope that we never experience another Ondoy situation which has certainly created a great damage on most of our fellowmen in low-lying areas. We are living in a high place which is quite safe from the danger of floods but there is always the problem when we need to go out for some important purpose like the kids going to school. Lucky for me that I am doing online jobs which does not require me to suffer from the heavy traffic in the streets due to this continuous heavy rain. i just hope the weather improves by next week. It always looks so gloomy and sad without the sunshine.

Same here I am hoping that we won't experience another Ondoy and even the Manila version of Sendong. I mean Sendong was the worst compare to Ondoy that it floods like Tsunami. You are lucky enough that you are just doing online jobs and you don't need to travel. I am longing for that as well to have that kind of job because I don't want to travel anymore. Good thing while ago it was just gloomy but at least it is not rainy.

I sure hope it's not another Ondoy. Funnily enough, Ferdie sounds like a foreign storm. Also, my office mates said that "female" typhoons are stronger than "male" typhoons. I quickly snapped Ondoy and they told me, Ondoy might be gay. That sure made everyone laugh.

I didn't have that kind of idea that the female typhoon was stronger than the male typhoon. So if that is the case then how much more for Sendong?

But maybe Sendong is transvestite or even Milenyo. Sendong was the strongest one it was like Tsunami during that time.

I have watched the news in the national television of the weather condition there in the Luzon areas. I really prayed that nothing bad will happen or no lives will be lost again. Here in our place there is not much rain. However, I can't really predict the weather because sometimes it rains and sometimes it gets too hot. We just have to be ready always.

Just same scenario here it will rain then later on it will be too hot. Changing of weather makes me sick and headache. That is why sometimes I am forced not to go at work because of my heavy headache. That is hassle.

It is quite similar to Ondoy but the only difference is... WE STILL HAVE CLASSES. Today, I was really hoping for the classes to get suspended. But it wasn't. I still had to drag myself to school. But yes, it is good that no one got hurt and that the typhoon has left the country. Also, it did not flood as much like the Ondoy incident. Happy mylotting.

Meaning to say the Pagasa or Deped won't announce any update because it is weekend wherein usually they just know it for a fact that elementary and high school students have no class? Shheeessh!!!! that is not really good thing for college students because some has Saturday class.
